That's a LOT of wing players; Kluivert, Miki, Perotti, Under, Perez and Pedro. I'd imagine he'd have to either send Miki back or sell Perotti if he were going to bring in Pedro too.

Meanwhile Mongo paid Florenzi 6m a year and a commission of like 4-5m to his agent.

Perotti and Mhkitaryan are always injured. I think both players will leave next summer.

Good. Nobody wanted Pedro here when he war rumored under L.E.
So why would we want him now at his age?

Valencia seems like a weird team for Florenzi.

I’ll be pretty sad to see him go. In the end I think he just became too comfortable. I remember Sabatini saying he didn’t want to sign a RB because no one wanted to see Florenzi on the bench, but that was probably the worst possible thing you can do for someone competitive.

Was never really that good. And became worse since his injury.

Roma weren't going to hand him a new contract at 3m+ wages per year. Better to sell him and recoup something than be faced with the contract battle.

If Florenzi wasn't Roman, nobody would really bat an eye. But he is, so it is a big deal. He has been an excellent servant to the club, but he hasn't had a consistently strong season in a while. If only he learned to cross.

What is it with players not knowing how to cross? Is it just because when we grew up it was a 4-4-2, and they don't even practice it anymore? It's baffling.

He wasn’t super talented but he was a good squad player and always was hard working.

Moving him to RB and giving him zero competition for years I think made him a worse player. And obviously the knee injury probably didn’t help either.

I'm ok with selling Florenzi but what's the plans for another FB? We can't be depending on Santon and Spinazzola? They can't stay healthy 5 games in a row.
