haha I have sling tv and they have 5 Colombian channels none show it. they do show the league games tho just in a super shitty signal. No HD or widescreen in Colombia? I mean seriously I have had every fking cable provider in the US and the Colombian channels are always full screen and look like a antenna channel in the 90s when I was trying to watch Power rangers
I had directv, dish network, fubotv, Comcast, RCN(Boston provider), Verizon fois, Attv..... In every single one the Colombian channels seriously look like I am streaming them on my phone and forwarding the image to my tv. I was hoping the Paid Soccer channel in Colombia would be available here and I could finally watch a game that doesn’t look like a PS2 fifa game.... Santa Fe vs Junior you can’t tell who is who or what team they play for the image quality looks like trash
I know what you mean. I'd like to think the Colombian local signal/rights are HD and of high quality and bringing those over to the US probably comes with some type of premium (for the purchaser of the intl tv rights). That said, more than the SD vs HD, the biggest issue I see is the limited camera angles. Some games are better than others but they're production shots are usually such long distance that you really do struggle to follow the specific players/plays. The entire match is broadcast over the single camera angle at center field from the press box. It's my understanding that with the new WIN contract and VAR some coverage will expand from 6 to 15+ cameras which makes sense as they need to invest in their coverage in order to justify the monthly price tag. But I don't think that feed will reach us anytime soon
Venezuela always seems to be so pesky at every age level against us. Glad we got the hard fought victory. Especially after trailing. Now we have to play calm and disciplined against Chile and we should be able to at least get a draw that we need to advance. But they will be pressing and hustling to win so it should be a wide open game. Hopefully we can take advantage with good counters.
As we know, our game against Chile is for the second slot in the second stage for Group A. We win or draw and we are in. Chile wins and they are in. Very cut and dry. Group B though is going to be wild. Uruguay could make it in but they have a -1 Goal differential. Paraguay can make it in but they would have to beat Brasil (Will they be playing benchers?) And they would have to hope that the other game is not a blowout of any sort. Bolivia-Peru should be a wide open match. Bolivia can make it with a 2 goal victory and Paraguay not winning against Brasil. Peru can make it with just a victory of any kind and again Paraguay not getting a win. I just wish they had simultaneous kickoffs to make it even more dramatic.
Atuesta is seriously missed. He's the one who links the whole team together. Right now, Chile is much closer to a goal than we are. I'm worried Reyes may end up making a defensive sub...
Half time and Chile are persistent as ********ing always. The team is very shakey and making dumb mistakes.
We were going to face them eventually as well as Argentina after them; be the second or third opponent, it's a tight 4 team group for 2 spots so they need to go into the game with confidence and do what is needed.
Weird the situation of chile goalie. Ecuatorian that played with u-17 and u-20....and he decided then to plat with chile
According to wiki he did not play in an official match for the Ecuadorean Sub 20. I assume he did not for the Sub17 either. But back to last night, Colombia did what they had to do and found a way to make it to the second phase.. Even if it felt like backing their way into it and not controlling the match tempo offensively Reyes had them playing disciplined for the most part. We saw how Chile in the Sub 20 only needed a draw and we beat them at the last second and I was getting the feeling they were trying to pay us back. Thankfully it did not go that way. Maybe Colombia will have better luck scoring goals in Bucaramanga. The atmosphere should be better than Perreira.
