At this point does he really need to chase 'big money' with all the sponsorship deals, use of image deals, transfer deal percentage cuts and playing wages he had during his rise and prime years of his career? I don't think it would make much of a difference in level of comfort to go for an MLS contract.

He was done anyway. Very good European career. I give Cheech props for staying in Europe as long as he could. Unlike that petardo Gio. Still not watching though.
And so ends the best European adventure any Mexican has had since Goal! The Movie. End of an era type stuff.
No kidding! I mean 10 years in Europe is a loong time, Guardado is the only one that has been there longer right?
Retirement will be good for him. Now he can just relax and dedicate to posting on instagram full time. Hope we don't take him to Quatar though, by then I hope the young guns would have matured to push him out.
It's not like Hernandez has had good runs every season in Europe. He's had about as many meh seasons as he had decent seasons. You can't compare him to Marquez or Sanchez
In this Sevilla stop it seemed these days he's more interested in being a family man than trying move up some football hierarchy. I thought with the move to Sevilla he could find his best form with a more balanced league fixture calendar and not having to play in a timid attack minded West Ham system. As each game came and went in which he squandered what used to be easy chances for him, it seemed clear the focus lies outside the football pitch these days.
Don't forget that sweet YouTube channel he has with that weird manipulative bald guy and the depressed feminine photographer.
