Here's everything I know about #NYCFC's coaching search: I fully expect the club to announce that they've hired former Celtic FC boss Ronny Deila early next week. A few details to work through, the biggest of which is getting him out of his current deal at Vålerenga in Norway.— Pablo Iglesias Maurer (@MLSist) January 4, 2020

Just when you thought it was safe to go back into the USA forums... Getting word Anthony Hudson is the new U.S. under-20 men's national team coach.— Steven Goff (@SoccerInsider) January 7, 2020
Preki coaching Leicester City the year they won the premier league is the timeline I would most want to visit.
Hudson is trying to clean up the mess he left in his last press conference in Colorado https://sbisoccer.com/2020/01/antho...0s-determined-to-show-he-has-grown-as-a-coach
In my book, having one's pant size going from 40 to 44 shouldn't count as "growing as a coach", but whateves, right?
A pretty significant development at RBNY... https://www.newyorkredbulls.com/post/2020/02/03/new-york-red-bulls-name-kevin-thelwell-head-sport Explains a lot, wonder what this means for Armas.
honestly that seems like one of the bigger hires in mls front office history? at least on the level of eales?
They're also looking at starting a rugby league team, which will be a disaster as no-one wants to go to Harrison as it is.
League or Union? I would think they'd want to start a rugby union team so that they could join MLR. There isn't a corresponding league for rugby league unless they want to do what Toronto Wolfpack are doing and join the UK's Super League pyramid. If it is the latter, the Wolfpack have done fairly well with roughly 9k average attendance. Of course, the Wolfpack do that by playing the first half of the season in the UK, including staying in the UK during this time, then playing the last half of the season in Toronto, where they stay in the dorms at George Brown University during their summer break, while the away team stays in the dorms at York University and are flown over on Air Transat, which has a sponsorship deal with the Wolfpack.
I believe that the union team is based at the Rocco Commisso Stadium at Columbia University in Manhattan. I think Toronto Wolfpack was a perfect storm. Convincing New Yorkers to go to Jersey for anything other than Ikea, NFL or EWR is always a challenge.
https://www.nytimes.com/2019/04/12/sports/rugby-league-new-york.html English Rugby League has already approved teams in New York City and Ottawa. They play at MCU Park, which did host the Cosmos in their days of the Neo-NASL.
