First leg results of Sandy Cup semifinals:

Aviators (33) vs. Tips Terrierss (41)
Locomotiv Lewisham (33) vs. Kicking and Screaming (50)

First semifinal matchup is looking like it will be a close finish, and the second semi could be close also if Locomotiv returns to their high scoring ways for the second leg. Good luck to the final four in a week from today:thumbsup:(FA Cup matches are this weekend so the next gameweek will start on Jan 10)

Looks like we have another issue with an illegal trade yesterday. Felipe Anderson is on 2 teams. It still needs to be corrected

By the way, on the 3rd sheet of the GDoc, I updated the sort on the current players yesterday.

    Happy 2020!

Final points will be posted later but we have a definitive champion for the Sandy Cup. Kicking & Screaming takes the title! Their squad will be added to the Sandy Cup as the 4th winner of the tournament, here is the updated list:

    2016-2017: FergyRedNose
    2017-2018: FergyRedNose
    2018-2019: Soccer Steve
    2019-2020: Kicking & Screaming

As the winner of the Sandy Cup, the signature of 2019-2020 Sandy Cup Winner can be added to your profile if you choose with all bragging rights attached. Congratulations to Kicking & Screaming manager David Bartels:thumbsup:

I’ll be starting a MLS fantasy league soon once the official site has it up and running. Hoping to get some managers from All-Rocks who also follow MLS in addition to EPL. I’ll post the league code from the official MLS fantasy league site once I can create it, it will be called MLS All-Rockstars to incorporate an All-Rocks theme. I’ll probably open it up as a public league to get a large amount of teams, but hopefully a good percentage of All-Rocks managers too. Planning to run some intra-league tournaments for the MLS fantasy league as well, I’ll keep you all posted:thumbsup:

I created the MLS All-Rockstars league on the official MLS Fantasy site for any that want to join. The public league code is JH9LLYN6, hope to see some All-Rocks managers who also follow MLS join the league!

Apologies to those not interested in this, but I'm going to continue this digression since there isnt a lot of activity in this thread. Did they increase the amount of money that we have our MLS budget this year? It feels ridiculously high. From a quick pass to create a placeholder team, I still had cash for very strong players on my bench while last year it was always a struggle to find someone who would get on the field when filling those last bench spots...

I agree with both of you, the budget is too high in my opinion and takes away some of the challenge to put together a squad with hidden gems. It will still be worthwhile playing but I wish they would stop over-tinkering the game, keep it simple and straightforward instead of adding new things that don’t improve the game.

Three more spots left until Friday in the MLS fantasy league for any others who would like to join. Only two managers so far from All-Rocks so would be cool to have a few more. If interested, league code is JH9LLYN6

Aviators are all set for GW 30+.

Got 5 double gameweekers. Using triple captain on Sterling as well.

Thought that this list perhaps deserved an update given the unusual circumstances. As we kicked off GW30+, with 9 gameweeks to play and 4 teams having an extra game in hand, the table read....

    Blechs Dawgs.................1487
Lokomotiv Lewisham.....1444 (*does not yet include point deductions for illegal trades)
    Aviators...........................1411
    Morning Glory.................1369
    Storming Gunners..........1331
    Kicking & Screaming......1321
    BunchofMuppets............1256
    Tips' Terriers...................1140

Looks like there could be some big scores put up this week based on some of the early returns..... If you haven't looked at the schedule, do check it out to ensure that you don't miss GW deadlines as the games are going to come fast and furious at times.

    Hope everyone is well.

Not the best start for my team, Arsenal playing horrible this week and a -3 from Luiz red card didn’t help. But glad the EPL is back, and MLS is back next month also. Hope all are staying safe.

Actually just seen this is on the Sand League spreadsheet - looks like it's -19 for me in total to deduct.

Assuming that tally is correct and there's no objection, the gap is still a little larger at the top, but I'm feeling from the past couple of GWs that I'm going to limp to the finish line so it's certainly wide open at the moment.

Yet another captaincy fail for me since we've resumed. Apparently I followed the over 30% in the top 10,000 who gave the armband to Jiminez this week, and i managed to curse then all.

    G30+ Vardy (2*2)
    G31+ Vardy (2^2)
    G32+ Jiminez (2"2)
    G33+ ???

I need to figure things out quickly. New management wanted.....

I haven't been following this thread too closely.

Am I reading it right that Lewisham has a manual 19 point deduction?

Maybe the fight for 2nd isn't over?

And I got pretty lucky with taking a punt on Willian as captain this GW! Very close at the top now after the point deduction. Incredible score from Morning Glory to put them in contention too.

We are now through GW33+, with only 5 gameweeks to play. Including the point deduction, the latest standings are:
    Blechs Dawgs.................1665
    Morning Glory.................1659
Lokomotiv Lewisham..... 1651 (*reduced by 19 points for illegal trades)
    Aviators...........................1612
    Kicking & Screaming......1569
    Storming Gunners..........1522
    BunchofMuppets............1415
    Tips' Terriers...................1359

Looking at the first four gameweeks since the restart, Morning Glory put up a massive 290 points (almost 75/gw) to jump from 4th to 2nd in what is now a very tight 3-way race for the two guaranteed promotion spots. Lokomotiv's 226 points during that same period was more than respectable, while my dawgs continue to stumble to the finish line with a mere 178 over the four games. It is certainly not common to have 3 teams averaging over 50 points/gw and would suggest it will definitely take more than 1900 to finish top of the table.

On the outside looking in, Aviators held form with 201 points over the 4 games, losing a place due to Morning Glory's surge, but staying close enough to potentially have a say in how things finish, especially if they find one or two gold medal weeks between now and the end. The other team on the rise was Kicking & Screaming - who has second most points since the restart with 248 over the 4 games - but with only 5 gameweeks remaining, that is still a lot of points to make up with so many team to leapfrog.

Best to everyone in the coming weeks. And, stay safe!

MLS is back! Philly Union with a win this morning vs NYCFC. Captain Bedoya scored the goal and Blake made some great saves. Now we have the EPL and MLS back which is awesome (now we just need a new president, one who actually has a brain and doesn’t suggest for us to inject bleach into ourselves to combat Covid-19)
