They didn’t look at any men. Think with all the other women turning down offers, NVD was likely as good as they could have done. With Gallimore announcing her retirement that far in advance, I thought they were going to go after big names and willing to spend money but wasn’t the case. I am sure she will do well though.
So I'm wondering - Washington is a premier job, in a great location, in a great conference, great funding, etc.....Gallimore is a "legend"......in 26 years she's had 8 losing seasons, 4 seasons of .500 or a game above......so essentially for almost half her career she's been avg or below avg.....in terms of NCAA, she's made the second round 6xs.......but cmon, based on first round matchups, a power conference Team SHOULD make the second round (of course only made NCAA once in last 4 years) Yes, she has made the Sweet 16 3x and Elite Eight once...great. Based on that logic, Lori Walker is a "legend"
It is based on a lot of variables but wins and losses give an indication of a degree of success and ability regarding a coach. I don’t think the Washington hire is bad and I (like most other people) don’t think Bodnar is a good dude but he has been way more successful than the person that got the position. That’s just one person who was more qualified that wanted the job I’m sure there were a lot more. By the way the UW coach ‘officially’ retired. Unofficially she was told to step down or she would be let go.
Any info on women’s Cornell Head Coach opening? I’ve seen the job opening listed on NCAA’s site but old coaching staff still listed on Cornell website.

Official announcement for Temple: https://owlsports.com/news/2020/1/6/nick-bochette-named-temple-womens-soccer-head-coach.aspx Think that's a better move for Temple than Bochette, they did well with that hire. Will be tough for him to break through UCF, USF, and Memphis. Maybe the support, facilities, funding, etc. which just better at Temple than Albany. Another reason why the Colgate hire was such a head scratcher. Here is someone in their backyard that had won a few championships at a pretty similar mid-major level who was obviously looking. Why wouldn't they call a head coach that has a good history of winning instead of going for an unproven assistant? Unless they did speak to him and still made that hire which would be appalling.
Maybe Bochette was going for the better job in terms of the conference hierarchy, which would be Temple. And, maybe he's had enough of super cold winters. Philly weather isn't great -- I know because I grew up there -- but its winters don't compare to Albany's and Colgate's -- and Cornell's, too, for that matter.
Nothing wrong with a little Winter weather. The colder and snowier the better I say! Just find a sled, buy some good gear, and grab a handful of throttle!! ;-)

Since you guys don’t believe me that I know, Sean Fraser from Lincoln Memorial is the new Louisiana Monroe coach. He has already told the LMU team. Announcement may come as early as Monday.
yay the peer pressure/mocking finally broke him! I would assume you know because that seems like a name out of left field. Good Luck to Sean if it's true. He is going to need it
“If it’s true...” None of it broke me and no mocking did it. There’s enough out that to show he’s the next coach, if people just would be able to find the right information.
