This is why I can’t say he’s world class. Maybe 2 levels below on par with insigne. He needs to constantly be a threat against top 4 teams in order to be ‘world class’. no one mentions how he only scores goals against premier league minnows.
Minnows? He has scored big goals against big teams before (e.g. City and Chelsea). This whole debate about world class means nothing bc everyone has a different view to what the threshold is. If you're in the top 30 players in the whole freaking world, surely that makes you world class? Or is the cut off like at 11? Only the best person per position? Cant please everyone, but in my view he is world class but I agree he needs to improve on his consistency. He also needs rest and when he has a dip in form its usually because he's been playing too many games and travelling too much due to international duties. This red is probably a blessing in disguise.
What a roller coater year it has been for Sonny. 3 red cards in the same year, appearance at the UEFA Champions League Championship Game, scoring ridiculous goal against Burnley.
Any other time to repeal maybe a chance but the FA will be scrutinised for first awarding after VAR and then granting the appeal amidst the racism claims. Unfortunately for Son he was the one that got punched in the gut with clear contact and Rudigar gets away with it.
Didn’t see this. If this really happened, why wasn’t more made out of it at the time? Son doesn’t strike me as one who wouldn’t try to milk it.
The problem is that Son is NOT the type to milk it. He is the type to retaliate which is the mistake he made. He should have acted like a pussy and stay on the ground. Instead he lashed out and kicked upwards. You could argue it was in self defense. But more reckless than anything.

He will be targeted a lot going forward, opponents know that they just have to give him a small hit or push and he'll react. Said it under the game, that this would be an easy win if Son were there

I saw a scrolling headlines that Sonny was voted 17th best player by the Spain's sports media...been trying to find it but could not. Anyone more in tune with the Spain's media might want to find n post for us.
Won the poll for Spurs goal of the decade with his long run against Burnley For me it was between that and Dele's against Crystal Palace. Bale's high volley against Stoke, and Sigurdsson's against Hull also personal favourites.
that dele alli goal is one of my all-time favorites. the timing of his juggle touches, his spin, and the way the ball just swerves outside of the defender but inside of the post is so satisfying
