Thursday, 26 December 2019 Dean Court USA "TV": NBC Gold 10am ET Well, I was hoping to post a little better opening than this, but it's all I got. Slightly busy day around here Like they say with Xmas gifts "it's the thought that counts"...? So maybe next time if we don't actually lose this match, Mikel's first in charge (if barely) I'll make a little better one.
We should win this. They have been poor this year, dealing with alot of injuries and I believe we will get more from the players because they know Arteta is here to stay! Arsenal 2-1! COYG
Ugh not on TV! I'm so bummed and no Arsenal pubs in the area that I'm in for Christmas , nor are any pubs open that early.... anybody know of a good stream? if not I might have to get Gold....
NBC maps it as a 4-2-3-1, which makes sense to me. (So do the PL Productions team) Arteta is clearly giving some players a chance to prove. Laca, Ozil, etc.
Involves playing Ozil wide, which seems questionable. Either way, having one of Auba, Laca, or Ozil out wide doesn't seem like a winning proposition at this point
Someone needs to start a Moveon.org campaign to end the playing of "Sweet Caroline" at all stadia. Bournemouth are playing it as a psych tune just before KO. I guess the only good news in that is that we shouldn't hear it after FT.
That was scary. Leno saves the day again, with his fantastic anticipation to come out of his goal when needed.
Ozil looks like he's trying to impress the new boss. Looking very lively and finding Laca with some really nice incisive balls. Keep that up and Laca will surely bury one of them.
Haven't found a feed so I'm doing two different PbP reports plus this thread. You'd think given the occasion and lack of stuff in the business world they'd have snuck another match onto CNBC. Alas. C'mon you Gunners!
I'll try to add a few PBP tidbits, but why don't you listen to audio on Arsenal.com? https://www.arsenal.com/live#!timeline
I can't state enough how much better we look in attack. Ozil and Xhaka pulling the strings, we're dictating play. Haven't seen us dictate possession like this in a long time. And yeah, obvi, Bournemouth are not playing well either
Also should mention Torreira has won a lot of really important balls too, our wing backs look solid too
Laca gets another chance from about 10 yards. Doesn't make clean contact but TBF it wasn't the easiest of takes. If he keeps getting those chances, it seems only a matter of time until...
Yeah, but even as much as we're dictating, they've still had some really dangerous shooting chances. We REALLY need to grab the first goal, or it's gonna be one of those days we've seen so many times in the past, especially the late Wenger era.
Missed who it was but Saka was put clean through by a really nice pass (think from Xhaka or Luiz) down the line and put in a brilliant cross, just barely missed everyone
