To be clear, I think the rule is harsh. Per the rule, it’s absolutely the right call. Spurs still have all the Poch DNA in them, and that makes them a pretty thuggish side (effectively thuggish, but still).
A year and a half ago, this is the sort of game Harry Kane might have stolen for Spurs. Utterly invisible today - he’s really fallen off after his injuries. The penalties and the goals against Bulgaria for England have really masked it. Can’t wait til United spend 150mm on him.
Willian. Immense. Mount really creative. Frank gave us an insight into his tactical ability. Jose was owned. 3 very important points. Clean sheet.
Sp*rs’s best chance was the year Leicester won it. But as shown today though, they lose their cool easily. And that was what did them in then. Not keeping their heads. As you said, still a Poch team. I think Mourinho came in at the wrong time for them. A prime Harry Kane under him would be devastating. More so than Poch.
Willian.. where is this Willian the rest of the time? Incredible performance. Very happy with Mount as well. Lamps nailed the tactics here. We did get somewhat fortunate with the PK and not taking our chances in that second half.
This was a great return to form, Sp*rs best chances came in the first half from Kane who skied it and Son who also skied it. It would’ve been nice to see Pulisic get a burn given how much freedom we had on the break. Major ********ing lol at Anthony Taylor. Calling a foul against Alonso for something that’s a penalty 100% of the time. Among his other idiocies.
Such a great result...so happy for Frank and the team. Willian was immense. If Kante only had Frank's attacking prowess, we'd be unstoppable. Spurs fans (those who were making racists chants).....pigs.
The narrative coming of this game is interesting. I don’t think we were as good in this game as the announcers made out, but then I didn’t think we were that bad during our recent streak either.
Regarding racism this may actually be a bigger loss for a lot of sp*rs fans than the actual loss. The amount of moral high ground bullshit that comes from north london is disproportionate. Goes to show that EVERY club has a tiny minority of absolute twats. As for the throwing of objects, that also has no place in the game. I condemn both when it's from our minority and trust that their club will do the same for their minority.
I mean its people man.. remember all of our Indonesian fans going nuts on social media saying we shouldn’t support the LGBTQ community? I’m only surprised people have the balls or are just flat out dumb enough to do that with tens of millions watching globally.
I didn't see that from Indonesia but it doesnt surprise me. Anytime a brand incorporates a rainbow logo you can expect a lot of angry comments. Like you say it's people and every club has that element. Some just pretend it's not an issue for them.
