Courtois - Mendy - Ramos - Varane - Carvajal - Casemiro - Kroos - Valverde - Vinicius - Benzema - Rodygo. Modric, Jovic and Bale to come on in the second half.

Valverde will bring him on though, from a tactical and appeasement perspective.

I actually think we’d have a tougher time if he started, Busquets has been struggling lately.

They can struggle, and yet still can comfortably win considering they have tons of fire power upfront which unlike us does not waste so many chances.

Shutdown Messi and Suarez, and we have a chance.

True, efficiency in front of goal has certainly been the determining factor in these games.

I'm really excited for this game but it will definitely be a challenge without Hazard and Marcelo. Two key pieces against Barcelona in my opinion.

Hoping that Benzema continues his hot streak and that we shut down their attack. I don't see their team being the best they've had in a while...

Courtois; Carvajal, Varane, Ramos, Mendy; Valverde, Casemiro, Kroos; Vinicius, Benzema, Rodrygo

I wouldn't be suprised if Zidane doesn't trust the young guns in the Clasico and plays Bale & Isco instead.

Dude at least do some research before saying stuff like this!!!
Here are the stats WITH Ronaldo since he joined until he left. (This is League games)
    Total number of games: 18
    Wins for Barca: 10
    Win for Madrid: 4
    Draws: 4

so yeah!!! In my opinion, the game versus Barca is more mental for us than actually having the ability to beat them. Barca has been just better in that department and A LOT of that comes from Messi.

How when he had a performance drought for years?

The issue is we aren't clinical and they are. We dominate them (we will again today) then drae or lose.

Let's hope today we actual score (more than once) when we are dominant.

Yeah, again in my opinion, they are better in finishing and that is because of the confidence.
I feel they get in our head.

Someone who understands... It wasn't so much due to Messi, they basically had better finishers. They also had this crazy period with Xavi, Iniesta at their peaks... They were the bigger reason as to why they were so successful...

I think we're still the better team but it's more about if we can finalize our chances.

    2-1 Real Madrid. Let's F'N Go!

Griezmann may not be playing his best football, but he's no slouch either. Compare with Jovic off the bench.

I think it's a bit much to throw the Brazilian boys out from the start, but as a 1, 2 punch off the bench - I like it.

Let Bale/Isco lull them into a false sense of security, (that there's no threat).

I agree. We have to play very defensive this game and play on the counter. We cannot afford to lose this game. I would play for the draw. Our team is not as strong as Barcelona's. We're a lot weaker than we used to be. Saying that - I love the current team, and we have a chance to nick a goal or 2.

Valverde, Kroos and Casemiro have made us more stronger defensively than we had with Modric and Kroos, Casemiro. I hope we do not concede!

Who argued against that? You specifically credited messi (part which I quoted) and I addressed that pointing to the fact messi had been anonymous for a while in our matches.

They finish, we don't. Yes it's a mental thing and it ain't about messi because half the time he was a passenger while Suarez, Rakitic or some other clown was breaking our hearts.

    I would try this :

    Militao Varane Ramos Mendy

    Casemiro Valverde

    Rodrygo Modric Bale

    Benzema

No one expects us to get anything out of this. We'll get something out of it in my opinion. The boys do well at Camp Nou of all places.

Let's not forget their fullbacks will be just coming back from injury and coupled with a midfield that can turn as fast as a sail boat and I like our chances.

No need for Militao on RB since Griezmann can't dribble.

I’m surprised that we’re supposedly such huge underdogs. If anything it feels to me like we’re in better form than they are, and we’ve often played better in away clasicos than at home in recent years.

I fully expect at least a draw tbh.

I have to say I do like the idea I’ve seen floating around of Modric as a fourth midfielder in an advanced role.

I can't watch this game due to other commitments but I'll have Livescore on refresh.

I'll take a draw at least but they have to be confident.
