I can't find a bio anywhere. Can someone supply a mini version here? Generally want to know where he actually hails from. I've read conflicting info on if he was born here or in England. And if he was born here how long did he stay before moving there? Is his mother a Merc too? Doubt his father would be given the name. TIA.
Just looked at the game summary and Wolves didn't use a single substitute. I can't recall the last time I have seen that. I hope Owen gets a shot to play soon.
Maybe Schalke bound? https://www.wolvesbite.com/2019/12/in-demand-otasowie-sets-the-standard-for-wolves-nuno/ Schalke, managed by former Huddersfield boss David Wagner, will look to use their reputation for bringing through youngsters to try to entice Otasowie in the summer. Unless Wolves persuade the 6ft 3ins youngster to sign a new deal, they would only be entitled to compensation for him if he left in the summer, because of his age.
Why would he want to re-sign with Wolves when they won't give him a shot on the senior team? He is getting a ton of attention and needs to use it. I like him at Schalke... perhaps it would mean more time for Weston further up the pitch?
I don’t see how the Wolves have given him anything less than a fair shot. He was out a long time with injury and has kept on climbing. If he debuts by the end of the season he deserves a full national team look. His size, athleticism, and ball skills make him a pretty good prospect. I’d like to see him with the U20 side but he’s going to pass that level at this rate.
Pogba played for the French U20 team and was already starting at Juventus. The lad should play at the U20 level first, then move up to the senior team after establishing himself as a first team regular.
It's at least possible that Pogba wasn't one of the best 23 players for France at the time and Otasowie is. Once Otasowie is good enough to make the Nats, he should make the Nats - regardless of whether he's put in his dues.
I’ve watched him play. He’s not there yet. He hasn’t even played for the senior team in anything other than the EFL. I think the kid is uber talented and will eventually be a mainstay for the USA, but people need to relax.
Dead rubber match, so if it's going to happen it would be a good match for it. He was called up to the first team for the match: A number of U23s have joined the first team in Marbella - Sondergaard, Rasmussen, Otasowie, Richards, Cundle, Perry and Campbell. Most could play a part against Besiktas. I gather Nuno is looking to make wholesale changes and give his first XI a much-needed rest ahead of Spurs.— Tim Spiers (@TimSpiers) December 9, 2019

Almost scored 76' Owen Otasowie (Wolverhampton Wanderers) hits the bar with a header from the centre of the box. Assisted by Rúben Vinagre with a cross following a corner.
by uhh certain standards that would indicate he should be a real option for the a national team callup
Didn’t look out of place at all. Big kid, long reach. Eats up a ton of space. Not bad on the ball, has some gracefulness, but looks like more of a ball winner. Looks great in the air. It was pure garbage time but good for him to get his feet on the ground.
