Difficult to predict what will happen in the next few months but I feel Foden has already more to offer than David Silva, Pep needs to be brave

Agreed, especially if the gap in the league continues to increase, Foden has to be starting more games.
I only ‘watched’ the first 15 minutes or so He doesn’t play him and he sees him everyday in training .. surely that says it all
It says that Guardiola thinks short term like most managers under pressure. Are you trying to say that Foden isn’t a phenomenal talent ??
Not being funny but you can hardly judge a player from the first 15 minutes of a game and come to the conclusion he’s ineffective when that’s so far from reality in all honesty, he had an excellent game and he’s a huge talent imo
Fair enough .. maybe I should have said that I wasn’t impressed with his first 15 minutes GIVEN that he was trying to impress ??
Which players in world football could force their way in front of Kevin De Bruyne, Bernardo Silva and David Silva in their position? Is there a single one? I'm not sure that I can think of any.
Did Sessegnon play left back or left wing? If it's the latter then tbh that's actually a bit disappointing imo as we don't really need another forward with the quality and depth we have there. I feel it would be far more beneficial to both him and us if he was to focus on being a top class left back long term, though admittedly he can only play where his manager wants him.
that's the point, the improvement of some options doesn't mean that Alli isn't suited for England team. he's coming back to his best gradually recently.. he has more contenders in the same position.. he's able to succeed in the 4-3-3 if he gets the chance again. or be a very good back. Southgate is in the embarrassing situation to due to all these talents he have at the moment
Guardiola: "When Foden played close to the box, attacking central defenders, he was incredibly dangerous. The way you play in England is a bit different [to Spain]. But now young players at Chelsea, Mount for example, are quite similar. One-on-one, creating more spaces."— Vince™ (@Blue_Footy) December 12, 2019 It seems as though Pep sees Foden as a second striker still which could mean he still has some work to do to replace the work in general play that Silva does.

Not a second striker, he's just comparing a part of Foden's game to Mount's. Just because he mentioned both doesn't mean that Foden is also like mount in that he's a SS. But it is true that Foden is good around the box because of his ability to play in tight spaces like Silva. I think position wise Foden fits perfectly into that Left sided more attacking central midfield role, he plays there for city and its a no brainer with more gametime that he slots into that position for England too.
