Thank you Smalldini for keeping us in it. We have no depth whatsoever in attack, Zaniolo doesn’t know what he’s doing. We might have no choice but to bring on Kalinic.
I didn’t either. But the inter players didn’t complain too much so I assumed it was fair. Either way we were lucky.
We're lucky to be level with the awful errors around our box. Zaniolo needs to be moved into the 3 behind the striker. Put Mhik or perotti at the top.
Perrotti has played the false nine before under Spalletti. I would switch it up and put him in the middle with Zaniolo on right and Miki on the left.
Still winnable this....just please cut out those ridiculous giveaways and at least not concede to a stupid mistake.
I can’t complain, Inter should have won this by 3+ goals. Smalling, Mirante and Diawara carried us tonight. Pellegrini was very disappointing.
I'll take it. Backline was really good today. Mancini had a couple of scary moments, but you can see there's a really good defender there in the making. Smalling pretty much canceled out Lukaku completely. Can't complain too much about the offense. It was a makeshift attack vs the three best CB's in Italy.
I thought we were fantastic tonight. Nullified Inter all over the pitch in their own back yard. Smalling had Lukaku in his back pocket. Diawara was immense - easily the best game he's had for us. Only criticism for me was our passing speed in the final third - too slow and predictable. Spinazzola needs to learn how to cross the ball - such a frustrating player to watch at times. Overall a great away point.
Diawara was playing well even before his injury, although I thought Smalling was our best player tonight: positionally he was perfect. I am even more convinced though that without a new striker in January we won't finish in the top four.
Decent point and we deserved no more. A poor game really. Diawara and Smaldini good, the rest....meh. I wish Spinny could attack as well as he defends. Better than expected defensively. In fact, very solid. But in attack....my god....disappointingly poor. Certainly down the right anyway.
I haven't been impressed by Spinazzola so far. We have a real problem at right back with three players who can play there that are insufficient in that position.
I didn't watch the game as I'm at work but looking at the standings, slowly but surely, Roma keeps climbing. Cagliari and Atalanta have been impressive but there is a long way to go yet and over the course of a season, I can't believe Roma will finish below them.
I think defensively he's been pretty good but he's been awful going forward and too many times he slows the play down. That said he's coming of a fairly serious injury so it could take him several months.
