After just two wins from the first seven games Castilla is already eight points behind the division leaders. Can we just get a proper manager or something? Sigh...
Raúl probably needs some time but as everyone knows, great players don’t necessarily make great or even good managers unfortunately, no matter how much of a legend you’ve been for the club, hopefully he can turn it around

Think they’ve handled Castilla differently this season though, and haven’t brought in more senior players to round out the squad. Seems like they are trying to get younger players to step up.
Doesn't help that Raul believed he was getting Kubo and possibly more from Rodrygo, but both proved to be far too good for that level.
Doesn't work like that. In a professional setting you cannot isolate a case (less than 1 year) and make a judgement on a person. Unless if they did something inexplicable. e.g. "Jose Mourinho is a terrible manager. He had all the money in the world and failed to even play in the champions league" ( 1 season). Works both ways : "Di Matteo is possibly Chelsea's best manager ever. He joined the club mid-season and won them their one and only champions league medal."
I made no judgement ( in less than one year , six weeks, five months, whatever) I said he probably needs more time, and I hope that he is able to turn around the fortunes of the team, I did state a fact though, that great players don’t necessarily make good managers, that was all.
He played in the Belgian league for two seasons (at Charleroi). He did quite well and was one of the better attacking midfielders in the league. He's now at Nantes in France on loan.

Why is the keeper in Rodrygo’s face to begin with? He certainly seems to go over to Rodrygo rather than the other way around
If that doesn't get overturned, there is something wrong with the league. The keeper goes in his face after the goal, and since when is it a straight red for that?

Would be nice to have a Managing Madrid article on Rauls time with Castilla. How the players have progressed under him, his preferred way of playing etc.
