IMO having Isco and Hazard both in the lineup, specially with playing Isco in a more advanced role is redundant. I would have preferred to play Rodrygo or Bale

I guess Zizou remembers how we got overrun in midfield in Paris but then again Fede wasn’t in the line up as AND the team was tactically all over the place as well as not giving a shit. I hope Isco repays the faith Zidane is showing in him tonight, he’s looked good in his short cameos.

Isco and Kroos give two different distribution options, PSG will be guessing which could cause them to play more conservatively. If it works it will a nice option against this sort of team built around pace.

Someone remind we why we spent millions on Europe's hottest prospect striker ?

James will never play that role here under Zidane in an important game and I am willing to make a bet ..

To be Benzema's replacement. That's certainly not a game for Jovic.

But I agree with you when we are beating someone 3 or 4-nil and ZZ brings in Vasquez instead of him.

Marcelo and Isco ( I’ll even add Carvajal) Casemiro and Fede are going to have to work doubly hard on the defensive side of the game

Not a weird lineup at all, we shaped up the same way in all the big CL games under Zizou.

They have walked on our Middlefield in Paris, I understand why Zidane is looking to reinforce it. But Isco man...?

Calling it now; Bale will come on at 70 minutes, unleash his Welsh Dragon form, score a goal and does a golf celebration infront of the Bernabeu crowd with the rest of the team and Marca will be seething through their lunges.

There were some articles a few weeks ago that said recovering Isco to his best form was one of Zidane’s top priorities this season

The Welsh IDGAF celebration. Bellamy did it first. Would be very funny if Bale did it too.

Good line up. Isco must have shown progression in training. More control in midfield. Excited

Weird game to start Isco. I would have like Rodrygo here

Every time we start Valverde and Casemiro we already have a lot of balance IMO.. this is more like wanting to give Isco a chance to do well and have an impact. If we lack creativity we would have Rodrygo and Bale on the bench.

Hyper offensive fullbacks to offer width and depth because we lack a player upfront. Plus Isco not so much Disco. Not exactly thrilled about this line-up. We can get punished heavily with proper pressing and fast-break attacks from PSG.

The only way this works is fullbacks having amazing game defensively and offensively, and Isco not being a slouch. Make me a believer Zizu!

Isco. Yet Jovic struggles to get 5 minutes.

its a risk, but honestly, its the only place where Isco can actually still play good, but I'm worried about his form in such an important game.
Also worried on him and Eden stepping on each others toes...

I love this lineup. The best combination of passing and penetration formation we've had in a very very long time. Also, we didin't have bench like this since Zizou's La-Liga-title-year. Imagine flexibility with being able to switch Bale for any of the forwards, Modrić for any of the midfielders, Mendy to trade technique for physicality and technique. Also, Jović&Militao are no joke, no matter their low playing time.
