See, you have to read between the lines. She says he "reads more than anyone she knows." Consider A) she'd from Arkansas, B) she's a Republican, so given those circles of people she hangs with, well, maybe she is actually telling the truth.

do you know what else signals that you can get away with things?

the fact that he...checks notes...got away with it. No...not the picture posing that was going to lead to him losing his pledge pin...the actual real crime. The whole murdering part.

or the fact that nobody in his chain of command was reprimanded or prosecuted for failing to do anything for years when members of his squad reported him.

Or the fact that charges were dropped against his commanding officer for failure to report any of this

or the fact that the member of his unit, who gave a sworn statement to Navy prosecutors in exchange for immunity against prosecution changed his story on the witness stand to claim he killed the ISIS fighter and was never prosecuted for perjury (either for his sworn statement or his testimony)

but by all means...the real issue here is Trump overriding the weak assed punishment the Navy finally gave this piece of shit.
