I appreciate you taking the first shot at picking an ALL-ACC Team and selecting it by position. The conference coaches will pick a first and second team and name some honorable mention players as well. I don't think there are too many arguments on the 22 names you have on your list but some may disagree on your placement. I would suggest that Wake may deserve some representation in the defense since they have allowed very few goals to date including a shutout of my beloved Terps. I think it's interesting that you appear to have selected your team on actual performance as oppose to reputation. I base this on leaving the UNC guys Stokes, Story, Testo and Kniepper out of the first team. It stands to reason that teams near the top of the standing would have more representation that those at the bottom.
The team I'm most familiar with is obviously UMD and believe you have selected our best player on each of the three lines so no complaints here.
I will wait another week or two before making my predictions/selections, I haven't seen all the teams (Clemson) play yet.
Let's keep the ACC discussions going, after all, it's the best soccer conference in the country!

Carroll from Wake deserves first team and Parkhurst deserves serious consideration. While Wake leads the league, it is obvious this is a very deep conference where any number of teams could have found themselves at the top of the standings. Still, if Wake finishes out strong with games against Carolina and Duke they'll garner more than one first teamer for sure.

    Thoughts

I thought I would pull this one back up to the top of the board. We have discussed who isn't getting enough recognition in another thread but who should be on the ALL-ACC Teams? We are coming down to the last weekend of the league season so who are the picks. The official announcement will be made at the tournament luncheon on November 13th so we are down a couple of weeks.

Obviously Alecko Eskandarian and Dimelon Westfield should be included since they are one and two respectively in scoring. Brian Carroll from Wake Forest as well. Not sure about goalkeeper. Being a Clemson fan and student, I'd have to go with Doug Warren. Will Hessmer from Wake made some incredible saves when I got to see him play. Oh well, I guess only time will tell.
