I believe Fiona Hill said something along the lines that if you believe that Ukraine had anything to do with spying on Trump or the US. Then you're as dumb as Gym Jordan
Who was that little sycophant from the administration who really really wanted to join the navy? It was only a few months ago, but it feels like years, because that's how time works under the Trump administration. Reince Priebus? Get ready for your new Secretary of the Navy.
If this is not a cult I do not know how to call it...... Oh, bless your heart. https://t.co/gk6163161T— Rick Wilson (@TheRickWilson) November 25, 2019 Fox & Friends preview an interview with Rick Perry, where he says that Trump is "the chosen one" and "sent by God to do great things"Pete Hegseth: "God has used imperfect people forever," but what Trump "has withstood is unlike what really any other mortal could understand" pic.twitter.com/ITDAErMJiN— Courtney Hagle (@CourtneyHagle) November 24, 2019
This is a totally F**** UP situation. Now any soldier accused of war crimes can bypass the chain of command, go on FOX and pretend he is a hero and ask for El Douchey's blessings and support. Trump Crosses Another Line with Firing of Navy Secretary David Ignatius: “Spencer had tried to find a compromise, sources tell me, after Trump tweetedThursday, ‘The Navy will NOT be taking away Warfighter and Navy Seal Eddie Gallagher’s Trident Pin.’ Spencer feared that a direct order from Trump to protect Gallagher, who is represented by two former partners of Trump’s personal attorney Rudolph W. Giuliani, would be seen as subverting military justice. “After that Trump tweet, Spencer cautioned acting White House Chief of Staff Mick Mulvaney that he would not overturn the planned SEAL peer review of Gallagher without a direct presidential order; he privately told associates that if such an order came, he might resign rather than carry it out. Gen. Mark Milley, the chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, spoke with the White House late Thursday to try to avert this collision.” “Milley’s de-escalation efforts initially appeared to be successful… But the truce was short-lived. By Saturday, the White House was demanding to know whether Spencer had threatened to resign; the Navy secretary issued a statement denying that he had made any such public threat and continued to seek a deal that would protect the Navy from a direct showdown with Trump.” “‘It was a hold-your-nose solution,’ said a source close to Spencer about his effort to broker an arrangement that would allow Gallagher to retire at the end of November with his former rank, an honorable discharge and his Trident pin, as Trump wanted, but without direct presidential interference in the SEAL review process. As so often happens with attempts to work with Trump’s erratic demands, this one ended in disaster.” New York Times: “A Defense Department official said Chief Gallagher would now keep his Trident pin, the symbol of his membership in the SEALs, at Mr. Esper’s direction because of concerns that the events of the past few days would make it impossible for him to get an impartial hearing.”
Trump treats the military brass the same way that he does the rest of the "deep state" -- with contempt, as flunkies who should do what he wants, just because. I suspect that most of the brass will be quite delighted to see him gone, if they if are nominally Republican.
Slowly, ever so slowly more and more Righties are seeing the light. Removing the crap in front of their eyes and seeing who Trump really is and what he is doing to the country. It won't affect the toothless deplorables. (Until they lose their Medicare and other benefits) then somehow it will be a dem failure. But maybe it will affect the lifelong Repugnants who are starting to see that supporting Trump has become untenable and against everything they really believe. Nah!... Trump is making the United States look more and more like Ukraine circa 2011/2012. https://www.rawstory.com/2019/11/ri...-burns-trump-to-the-ground-in-scathing-op-ed/
I have a sneaking suspicion that he's going to ask Dan Snyder to offer him a contract. But you ask "Mike, why would he as Dan to do that?!?!?!?!" Here's why: If Kaepernick doesn't accept the contract because of what the Team Name represents in racism, the NFL and the Anti-Kneeling crowd get to paint him as a professional victim using his Nike Status to get paid rather than play football, like real patriots do. If he does accept it, then a certain portion of Natives will drag him and that will impact Nike's N7 lines and possibly get Nike to drop him and make him look like a hypocrite to indigenous communities, which the Anti-Kneeling crowd will drag him for. They will all get their 1/12 Native on and go after him, using Natives as a cudgel against his anti-Racism / anti-Police violence work. TL;DR - Somedays the Devil tries to tempt you with the Truth of the Scriptures.
This shirt needs more targeted copy, that's a Mexican Sombrero right. I thought Trump loved "the hispanics"
And if he accepts he will get to play for a team that has horrible wide receivers and no quarterback protection, he will look like crap, get beat up, and lead his team to last place.
Stephens has always detested Trump. I am surprised he was not in favor of his removal 2 months ago. But I guess his loyalty to Republicanishness overcame his Trump revulsion. Stephens is the type of person I mean when I praise (relatively speaking) establishment Republicans. You can talk to him. You can't talk to his affinity-voting base, the ones that nod in agreement when Rick Perry says that Trump was sent by God. Say what you want about Bret and his ilk, they gag at such statements as much as we do.
