Apparently 4-2-3-1,could work. Been curious about playing this formation for a while now, seems it places many players in their rightful positions whereas in a 4-3-3 players like Griezmann and De Jong are playing out of position. I generally still favour 4-3-3 over 4-2-3-1 but the latter seems a better fit for the players currently in the squad.
Early away game right after international break against bottom table team ... recipe for disaster in Barca's case.

We are clueless against the parked bus, but this is not unexpected because due to our coach’s tactics (or rather lack of tactics) the playmaking is done by defenders and DM. While the attacking midfielders, wingers and strikers are either hogging the sidelines or are squeezed between the opponent’s CBs and FBs. Playmaking by the least creative players in the midfield combined with no movement from other players due to them already being on the place from where they cannot make runs towards goal is what making this team toothless in attack.
I could only watch 15 mins of first half today . Can’t imagine rest was much different . Glad to get the 3 pts .
