[QUOTE="Noriega7, post: 38300265, memberWe simply never hear about the players that were benched to help them settle, but never improved after they got re-introduced to playing time.[/QUOTE] I’m not sure it is improving as opposed to just understanding the style and players in that new team.
In this case Enjoyment was already pushed off the top of a skyscraper by USSF. Pulisic not playing is the ironic situation of Enjoyment catching a bullet passing by the 50th floor on the way to Splatsville.
Someone on Reddit did the math on that, indexed versus an average person making minimum wage and working 40 hours a week. That 20k fine comes out to 57 pounds. Hell of a lot for someone on minimum wage but still crazy when compared to an average Chelsea players wage.
Can anyone see if he's limping here? Meanwhile, @rubey_lcheek, @ToniRuediger and @cpulisic_10 are on their way up the Thames to launch a @Hublot Chelsea watch! #HublotLovesFootball pic.twitter.com/tPLSl2olhz— Chelsea FC (@ChelseaFC) November 14, 2019
Man, I remember when I was young, being paid millions to play a sport and more to launch a new fancy watch on the Thames.... Ok, I'm lying. I don't even remember being young, but it looks like it might have been fun, if I ever actually was.
He gets to have fun and stay healthy instead of traveling 9 hours to Florida then to nowhere in the Caribbean only to play for a coach who will put half the team out of position and put all the pressure on him to carry the team.
or pronounce it the "euro way" and have Americans laugh at you for being an American in America trying to be all Old World. Glad to see Pulisic bonding with the guys that stuck around. Can't hurt.
Nothing like busting your butt and enjoying your mates. Good for him. The goal post was not kind to his hip - GGG is even more painful and fortunately he does not have to suffer that knucklehead this time.
Lampard has a very tough decision to make against Man.C...Who does he drop to make way for Kante?...Jorginho, Kovacic or Mount? I personally would drop Mount and push Kante up the field to replace his pressing there...Jorginho and Kovacic tandem is arguably the best in the PL, so I would let them keep their place. This is where CP goal scoring form saved him..Without that, Mount would have gotten the nod on the left wing spot. I think it's a winnable match if Kante is fully back to his World Class form...
CP had trouble with Wan-Bissaka, so it will be interesting to see how he fares against City. And Chelsea’s run has come against non-elite teams, so it will also be interesting to see if they get enough possession to test themselves against the City defense. I am very optimistic about Chelsea’s future, especially if they can hold this young group together and don’t introduce anyone who disrupts the chemistry. But I am not super optimistic about the City match. Hope I am wrong.
I saw in an interview with Puli that he speaks German with Kovacic on the pitch. & before you even ask - No, Puli doesn't speak Croatian event though he has a Croatian Passport
It's funny. In Dortmund this would have been nothing special. But in England being able to speak a common tongue that Kovavic is more comfortable with might be a contributing factor in the connection they have developed. It seems like his form has made significant inroads with the Chelsea youth contingent which didn't seem to be an early goal when the transfer was made, but became vital based on Lampard's selection and their dramatically unexpected good form.
The guy who's played the Kanté minutes has been Kovacic, so I'd expect him the one to be replaced, since Jorginho has been solid and Mount plays a different role.
