Breaking News: “It is unlikely that #Argentina and #Uruguay can play next Monday at TelAviv. The murder of the leader of the Islamic Jihad in Gaza Strip led to the launch missiles towards #Israel, classes were suspended, ask not to go to work, meetings with more than 300 people were banned.”

According to TyC, this was the team that Scaloni tried in the training session.

    -----------------Andrada
    Foyth---Pezzella---Otamendi---Acuna
    ------------------Paredes
    --------Ocampos---------De Paul
    -------------------Messi
    ---------Dybala----------Aguero

Looks like a team I’d try out in PES, but for real life that’s an inexistent midfield.... Paredes is a false DMF, while Ocampos and Messi are practically FWs transformed into midfielders.

We could generate some nice plays going forward with all that offensive talent, but we’d pretty much be playing with 4 forwards on the pitch and desperately lacking balanced CMs/box-to-box players. Why isn’t Lo Celso (or even Dominguez) in there? Palacios will also be extremely useful and very much needed when available for a call-up in the future.

On a side note, what is going on with Ascacibar? I notice he’s not even in the U23 selection. Is he injured or has he just fallen off?

That line up is too attacking, almost like Diego line up in 2010 QF. All the forwards Dybala, Aguero and Messi arent a type of forward that will help to track back. I'd rather have Palacios than Paredes , although Paredes is a tough/angry type of character that we also needed.

Imo we need both Palacios and Paredes in there.

I think that’s Scaloni’s plan for CA at least... bare in mind that the only reason Palacios wasn’t called up to these games is because he’ll be busy playing the much more important Libertadores final, but if it weren’t for that it’s almost a guarantee he would have started vs Brazil. Hell, even in the last CA Scaloni had reserved a starting spot for Exequiel, which he only lost due to a late injury

Yeah I agree with what you said. I think this will be Scaloni's main starting XI. We just gotta pray that no players will be injured before any major tournament starts.

    -----------------Armani
    Foyth---Pezzella---Otamendi---Tagliafico
    ---------------Paredes
    ------De Paul----------Palacios
    -----------------Messi
    Dybala/Aguero-----Martinez

He currently plays in the second division of German football. Honestly, he should have gone to PSG when he had the chance. I still think he’s talented (that performance against Bayern was immense) but he’s being dragged down by a poor team.

Messi walks when out of possession, Ocampos is a converted attacker, and Paredes is slow. De Paul will have to play like peak Arturo Vidal on steroids for this to work.

I can’t wait for Palacios to be back, I genuinely believe that a midfield of Palacios-Paredes-DePaul is almost perfect in terms of balance.

Yeah, but so does Nico Gonzalez, who has been called up for the last round of friendlies as well as the upcoming one.

In fact, they play for the same club team..

Our U23 side played the Canary Island’s and barely beat them 14-0.

What a dummy Foyth is. Cost us a penalty.

LMAO. We dodged a bullet. What a miss!

This game is hard to watch. So many bad passes and clumsy defending.

Struggling pretty hard against their pressing. I know we're playing for the counter but let's not create chances for them on top of their possession.

If this game continues like this, I’m gonna switch over to Maury Povich. This game stinks.
