I think for a lot of us it was hard watching this after earlier seeing Liverpool- Manchester City. It draws into focus the tremendous gulf in quality. For all the talk about Toronto FC dominating the game they weren't able to score when they had chances early in the game.
I was thinking about the CCL during this. The draw is next month. I'm not sure this match cures my worries about the CCL. I guess we'll see.
Maybe the one detraction about there being 2 weeks between the playoffs and the final. But, you have to allow some time for the host team to make preparations. Anyway, there are probably a lot of us that didn't watch any other game today.
So a native Seattleite scores a MLS Cup own goal in Toronto, then Toronto scores a MLS Cup own goal in Seattle. Hmmm...
The draft lists aren't due for a week but by 10am tomorrow (Seattle time) some of them could be traded in the 2 day trade window that opens then.
Wait, MLS isn't up to the quality of a game between two of the top 10 (top 5?) teams in the world? Shocking that. Next thing you'll tell me is that last night's Cal-WSU game wasn't up to the standards of last week's Patriots-Ravens game. SMH.
You may want to tell the MLS Machine that they shouldn’t try to sell themselves in the same breath as EPL and LaLiga.
Yep, didn't watch any other game today and won't until the 2020 regular season kicks off. I admire anybody who has the stamina to watch year round, but, after eight months of any sport, I need a long break. Congrats Sounders, Good job TFC. To them and everybody else, thanks for another fun season. Zlatan go home. Next up, season 25...hard to believe.
