It sounds so easy; just shoot more! The reality is that sometimes the shots are there, sometimes they aren’t.
It's probably safe to say Chelsea don't have to worry about Arsenal and Spuds fighting for top 4 spots any longer.
O/T: The Foxes are the most fun team to watch in the EPL right now. Their form is fueled by their fans, too.
It's really good to see Christian Pulisic has finally settled at Chelsea and is really starting to show why he is still one of the brightest talents in Europe.Captain America, my winger. 🇺🇸🔵https://t.co/pWeUqi06ui— Futbol Chelsea (@FutbolCheIsea) November 9, 2019
I was glad to see the goal, but wanted a 2nd look at this one even more. The ball control and dribbling skill was top notch here. He had another where he was boxed in with 3 defenders around him, if he had gotten out of that we’d be raving in another play.
Great game today. As far as the Messi comparisons...I think we can all agree that CP has done way more for Chelsea in these past 3 weeks than Messi ever did!!
Back in the day my username was Strawman and I lost access to my account because it was with my college e-mail (which I lost access too). I miss it because I always used to chime in when ever anyone referred to strawmans (which let's be honest, is the most common logical fallacy).
"Finally settled" is such a lazy narrative, which makes sense since it was espoused by the British press and the anti-Pulisic trolls in this thread, who rep every negative post about the player. He scored 2 very nice goals in the friendly with CL group stage team, RB Salzburg, and was a whisker from scoring a golazo vs Liverpool in the Super Cup. He made a few long plane trips, had 1 or 2 uneventful games (no different than several of the other Chelsea players), and was banished to the bench. He was given a shorter leash than any of the other competitors for attacking positions, but came through with flying colors thanks to his own industry, production and a hint of good fortune. Pulisic has 5 goals and 4 assists in just 680 minutes of PL and CL action. That's ridiculous and not "finally settling," but finally getting an opportunity and kicking the door down.
Dunno, sounds like a "Strawman" argument to me....... [on a slightly more serious note, the logical fallacy I've found most common is this one: "If A, then B. Not A, so Not B" . As in, for example, "If we lose to Canada then General Egg should be fired. We did not lose to Canada, so General Egg should not be fired." ....Now, what is the name of this illogical sucker?........]
Well, if he had a hip injury before then his slamming into post with his hip likely didn't help. He is really a fun player to watch. On the topic of "easing into the PL", I don't buy it either. But, looking at where he is now, with the hunger and intensity, maybe Lampard's "tear him down, build him up" strategy worked for now. Sure seems to have.
Lampard, in his post game conference, stated he's "a bit worried about Pulisic's hip injury". It seems Frankie is giving Pulisic a pretty solid excuse to say 'f*ck you' to 3G and stays in London.
I like how these French commentators say his name. They also sound very excited each time they called his name.
Not sure if already posted, but this is such a good read. Always like the stuffs coming from FiveThirtyEight. Pulisic is ranked 9th on xG and xA so far this campaign. Christian Pulisic Has Found A Home At Chelsea https://fivethirtyeight.com/features/christian-pulisic-has-found-a-home-at-chelsea/
It was so terrible, I just gave up. It's like something you would write in 9th grade before you actually understand how the world really works.
Frank Lampard all time leading goal scorer for CFC was a midfielder. I think it is a Frank thing. You fail to score on 100% of the shots you do not take.
