yeah, didn’t Dempsey have a season where he finished third in goals, or something like that, in the PL?

Yeah, his number had already been put up, as y-lee said. After his goal I guess he'd rather have stayed on which is understandable for a young player but let's not read too much into this stuff.

Mount seems to lament he didn't get to that ball in time, but he celebrated with all the others.

Let me be clear you sound like a bootlicker not CP, and you're using a lot of words that I'm not sure you fully understand.

You're right. I should have checked before posting. Looks like in Fall 07, Fall 09 and spring 2012 he scored in three consecutive matches.

Would have to check whether Dempsey did it during his 20 goal season with Fulham

17 league goals. He had 3 additional in the FA Cup and 3 in the Europa League.

CP should definitely decline the International call-up if he really picked up a small knock...Just keep it safe for now.

Go back home for a few days and chill with the family..Can't risk him getting hurt in concacaf match but my guess is he'll go play.

Hopefully he'll do what he can to ensure that the US is ranked top six in CONCACAF before the start of 2022 WC qualifying because the way things are going....

People who would rather have our players in Europe refuse NT calls also don't want MLSers called. I guess they're rooting for Mexico.

I'm old enough to remember when Reyna was a bleeping traitor to the flag because he didn't want to fly to Chile or someplace for a friendly while fighting a knock at S'land or Citeh... Lol.

If he is too injured to come over and play, he should sit right at home in England and rest, not fly over to the US to hang out with family.

That is a little unfair to his critics. At the time, it was reported that Reyna had told management that he simply didn't want to play in friendlies, and even some games that mattered against lesser CONCACAF competition … but rather save himself for the bigger games. It is up to you to believe those reports or not, but the contention itself was that it wasn't about a single friendly game while Reyna was injured.

You're right, fly the family over.....I'm sure it's not that serious but they need to be cautious with these small knock.

If they're in great form, why risk it for the likes of Cuba and Canada?

The U.S. just lost to Canada. Not a layup at this point. At best an open 3-pointer. Could use all the help we can get.

Plus, goal differential matters. And we should have revenge on our minds.

So USNT fans should want everybody there, so long as you don't think we can win more long-term by players not showing up.

If he is at risk, he should not play - I agree with that. But, "the likes of … Canada"? Canada is as good as the US right now. History does not matter. We obviously need all hands on deck to defeat the likes of Canada.
