First time I ever heard "Tears of a Clown" it was the English Beat version. Then I saw Smokey Robinson doing it on some show like the Jerry Lewis Telethon and wondered why the hell a big Motown guy would be covering an English Beat song....

I used to walk down Kingman Street in another life. There was no way I could not sing along to "...Kingman, Barstow, San Bernardino..."

 

On the other hand The Untouchables cover of Stepping Stone is a good deal better than the Monkees version.

 

We do have a wealth tax that Economist like, it has shows that is a good way to reduce (at least keep the increases smaller) inequality.

The problem is that it is unpopular with voters.

My late father in law used to rail against the "Death" tax, regardless that I would say the first million was exempt. Ironic that I had to kick in a few thousand to cover the funeral expenses.
