20 youth coaches, club administrators, and lg. directors of coaching are making over $35 grand a year.

Wouldn't a bunch of college coaches make more going with youth soccer?

most every state college post salaries for all personnel. Go to any site for these schools and do a search for the last name. For example, go to University of Virginia, find their salary listing engine, type in gelnovatch or swanson and walla. the latter makes more at that school by the way.

I have a buddy who was a successfulhead coach at private school of D1 women's program. He has moved on to a bigger program. I don't know how much he makes but he told me you would not believe how much he made. He said it was peanuts.

Good question. I wonder if they do get some supplemental pay related to being a college coach.

    Yes, they do.

The big money maker, often bigger than their base salary, is their summer camp, where they get to use their school's facilities for little or no rent. Depending on how popular your camp is, this is quite lucrative.

The second money source is a deal with a shoe manufactuer like Nike or Adidas where the coach's program where's said shoe-maker's product in exchange for a fee. This isn't as big as it used to be since MLS became the primary vehicle for soccer in the US, but it still can be additional money for the coaches.

Third is coaching youth clubs. Not many head coaches do this, but some do, but a LOT of assistant coaches are coaches at youth teams and make money doing that.

I think camps are the biggest outside source of income. Athough some coaches are also involved with clubs and ODP (but these are mostly assistants). I think the big death nail for the shoe / uniform deal wasn't MLS, but the fact that most universities AD have gone to signing deals that cover all sports at the school. I remember back in the Gorman at PSU signed a pretty good deal with Umbro and then six months later the AD signs a blanket deal with Nike for the entire department.
