that was a heck of a rebound. Definitely a mistake on the GK not covering the post but good on Borre to have that killer instinct in a tough angle. Quintero doesnt need a lot of space to make it count.

In this moment he is the top scorer of Superliga.

He is 10 goals away of Falcao, hope he reach him. I think that in june he is turning back to europe as a better and more mature player

have scored 4 pks this year, 2 in libertadores and one in league and another one league this semester(the torunament where he is top scorer). Also scored in cruzeiro pk series but this goals arent counted.

So not close to the half.....

of his 32 goals in river, not more than 5 are pk....so your feelins are wrong

Lately he has been scoring PKs and to me that is a good thing.
We need Colombians who can score PKs consistently based on our last handful of tournaments that have gone to spot kicks.

Borre or Morelos are next in line after Duvan and Falcao retires.

    Then again there's Cucho

I'm confident it won't during this qualifying system. But next round of qualifiers for 2026. Then again, we will have an aging James, and thats what really scares me.

Another goal to keep being the to scorer in argentina (only one goal of pk before some of you despised with false facts).

also started the play for second goal.

I think that we all should start to take him seriously. He is a very good striker. Yes he misses a lot, needs to improve his finishing, but the fact that he is a regular starter under an excellent coach like Gallardo, must say something. I won't cancel either Borre or Morelos for the current qualifiers since we have Falcao with 30% form. More injured than play. In fact, I think that it's Falcao who should be the backup to Zapata, Borre, Morelos and Muriel, all are in a much better form than El Tigre.

Finally I'm able to see River Plate play. I hope River wins and Borre scores, but really I want to see Quintero in the second half.

Hopefully the Colombians have an impact on this match and in the Mudial de Clubes.

Then they all get a chance in March to play for Colombia.

Honestly though Flamengo is playing some winning futbol.lately. They will be a very tough test. I wish Cuellar was still there.
Would be funny if Berrio came in and stole the show. (doubt it.)

That was a nice goal. River is playing well after a difficult start. There is lots of space for long through balls.

Looks like all the subs have been used by River with Gallardo taking off Borre trying to hold onto the 1-0 lead. Great goal for Borre and his confidence should keep growing, sucks that Quintero won't get to play but I can see the reasoning for not bringing him in with the way the game is.

Holy shit Flamengo up 2-1 after two late goals. Man River really blew a bunch of chances before those goals, players rushing to get off shots rather then keep possession or pass into better quality chances.

Absolutely... not to mention Gallardo’s ludicrous substitution of bringing in Julian Alvarez for Nacho Fernandez when we were up 1-0. We inexplicably resuscitated Flamengo on our own at that point
