Haha. We all knew the kid could play. His assists in the past 2 games were quality. It's good to see him score after struggling to get game time at Chelsea and Dortmund.

 

What a game for CP. A solo goal running from midfield and a header goal I wouldn’t have expected from him, least of all a hat trick. Lampard was right to start him.

 

btw my favorite goal today was the backwards header - not even that tall but was able to find the net with his head today

I just looked at ESPN.com's site. Pulisic's hat trick is sixth on the news headline sidebar - below Josh Gordon being released by the Patriots and some guy from the Jets being released because he decided to have elective surgery that the Jets didn't authorize.

On si.com, Pulisic's video is in the third row below yet another story about the Astros employee that screamed something about that Osuna guy to a female reporter wearing a purple domestic violence band.

This is probably the greatest single moment for a US soccer player on a major international club stage in 7-8 years, and the mainstream US sports media yawns about it.

He definitely scored with his head at the end of Dortmund’s season last Spring. Close range/simple finish but with his head. Pretty sure that’s the only other time.
