Hey, that first goal had the move he was working on with EJ one of these past summers. Now all Pulisic needs to do is complete the cypher by rejecting a call up next month.
The two things that stand out are his balance and quickness. Those are the 2 qualities that all the great players have. His movement was Messi-like. Bravo! He definitely earned the start with his recent games, and he fully delivered today. String a few of these games together and Lampard will have no choice but to start him regularly. The next game will be tough. It's hard to replicate today's success. Most of all, I hope he stays healthy.
With the quality around him, the more attention he draws (which he regularly is able to draw 3-4 defenders anyway) will only see his assist numbers spike, especially as teammates increasingly know he's looking to pick them out. And this performance will see defenses paying him even more attention. I see a few 2+ assist games from him in the not too distant future.
Maybe should have had one today but he missed an open Willian on the right and passed to Abraham instead.
Looks like Tomori and Pulisic has a good friendship there. I believe I heard Tomori saying great words about Pulisic in training a few weeks back, when Pulisic was still struggling for game time.
That's what you get from a confidence Pulisic. His mates need to learn to put the ball in front of him with space and watch him run wild at defenders.
Technically, Pulisic has 403 EPL minutes with 3 goals and 2 assists. That is 1 goal/assist per 80.6 min. That's insane. Who got better number in the EPL? I know, it's early in the season but that is pretty damn impressive.
Given the level of irrational exuberance now on display, it's likely CP will now go 0-for-the-rest-of-his-career...
