Terrible game by Zizou. Very badly set up. A LOT of work left to do on this team. The attack especially......no chemistry...no variation in attacking patterns....very predictable. This one is on him.
People in this forum have been clamoring about starting Jovic, James, Militao, and the like. This is the result. Ronaldo said a few seasons ago and I'm paraphrasing - how do you expect me/us to perform when the best players aren't playing. The cold truth is, you need world class players, and some of these players can't perform basic functions. It's not the coach's job to ensure that a player performs simple passes or not fluff every shot imaginable, or being incapable of 1 on 1 defending. We need to revamp our squad by refreshing it with proven, world-class players like we did in 2009
Some of the worse garbage I’ve ever seen this team play, people don’t like Toni and Luka and would like to see the back of them but they don’t produce completely aimless displays like this, I have no idea what I just watched, awful stuff, did we at least make the keeper save even once?
+1 we need world class players,wingers,midfielers,goalkeeper our transfers in the last 3/4 years have been atrocious and thats why we are so unprepeared for the post CR7 era ......
When Carvajal sucked, some people wanted Odriozola in. Now we are finding out both suck in terms of silly dumbass challenges and IQ, and now we need a brand new solution.
Zidane not the best for this job because he will start Marcelo,Isco and other no matter what. He is conservative, not great tactic. He never was andknow this team need fresh start and we came back to old guys.. just doesnt seem logical.
What I don't understand is our game plan. I get an indigestion of this: 1/ Give the ball to Marcelo 2/ Cross it hoping Benz or Ramos do something with it. Can we talk about Kubo too? IMO he gave more tonight than some of the poopoo that was in our team.
The formation and team selection didn't make sense. We had no balance or structure in midfield and pretty much no right wing. We were missing a lot of players but Valverde instead of Isco and Rodrygo for Jovic could have seen a different result. And the less said about Odri at this point the better, it seems we need Hakimi or to look for a new RB in the summer.

He was okay. Didn't bring anything more out of them offensively. Neat touches, but some shitty final touches. Probably was under this try-hard/perform in front of my actual team type of shit but then didn't pull anything off that was noteworthy. 5/10 sub cameo.
Well we started Isco im midfield. Combining him with the SerbianGhost is like playing with 9. Then throw in wasteful play from Odrizola, Vinicius and we were a disaster in the first half. Second half we were better due to Valverde giving us some balance and energy, but Odrizola does something moronic and we are punchless. Season ain't over. These injuries are killing us though and if anyone doesn't see we have to start Casemiro and Valverde to have a strong midfield you're blind.
