    Foyth - Pezzella - Kannemann - Tagliafico

De Paul - Paredes - Palacios

    Messi

    Agüero - Lautaro

Is what I think we will see when the real matches start again.

I see Otamendi for Kannemann, although I still want the Gremio defender to start. Agree with the rest of the team.

we are killing Ecuador right now.

feck me, 6-1. Ocampos scoring again. Him and Dybala are also close to the starting lineup I think.

Well deserved for Ocampos. He sure came out of nowhere.

I'm going to do my early squad prediction for next month, barring any injuries or a drastic loss of form. I'm basing the squad on the 4-3-1-2 that we played in the Copa 2019.

    GK: Armani, Andrada, Marchesin
    RB: Montiel, Foyth
    CB: Pezzella, Otamendi, Kannemann, Quarta
    LB: Tagliafico, Acuna

    DM: Paredes, Guido
    RCM: De Paul, *
    LCM: Palacios, Lo Celso, *

    AM:
    Messi, Dybala
    FW: Aguero, Martinez, Alario

*two of Ocampos, Nico Dominguez and Zaracho

^probably no River players if they beat Boca.

IMO with this line up we would suffer the same problem as in the first half with Germany. Left side completely exposed. I think there is no option but to drop either Agüero or Palacios and put Acuña or Ocampos.

oh right, forgot the Copa libertadores final is about one week after the friendly vs Brazil. Damn, would have really liked Scaloni's ideal squad to be in the friendlies before the WCQ. Let's see what Scaloni will do.

Not to get carried away or anything but it looks like we’re winning the next World Cup.

No, I didn’t. But reading comments and seeing highlights, it appears we got a bit screwed. Mexico were given a soft penalty and we had a goal disallowed.

    Still ended 2-2.

That's pretty conservative. I was thinking we're gonna win the next three.

He did play and hopefully gets to keep the starting role.

Acuna needs to start, the most consistent player in the current team. Pezzella played well but he is not international material against stronger competition unless he shows a lot of improvement this season.

I would drop all players from the previous generation, Acuna and Alario for Messi and Aguero. It's a good sign that there is a lot of depth in midfield: Paredes, Acuna, Ascacibar, Lo Celso, De Paul, Lamela, Lanzini, Palacios, Ocampos, Pereyra, Zaracho, J Correa, Dominguez, G Rodriguez, Vargas and possibly Barco.

We need to get our black shorts back. I’m tired of seeing those white shorts. Looks like they’re wearing pajamas. And have the jersey have a collar.

    beautiful.

Always prefer that old jersey, I also like the 2014 WC jersey cause its also has those thick black lines on the neck and arms.

Speaking of the team progression, I know its not realistic but I prefer to see these new guys playing without Messi. Now everyone of them seems to have confidence in themselves instead of looking for Messi most of the time. There will always be that tendency whenever Messi is there.

I believe he's been on radar in last few years but always gets injured most of the time.

I would only keep Messi and drop both Agüero and Otamendi forever right now.

However if Messi drops club form from here to Qatar, I'd drop him entirely.

Aguero is actually in better form than Messi in recent Copa and in first 6-7 matches of this season so far.

I would keep Aguero as a sub at least. I don't think he should be an automatic starter, though. He's not consistent enough with the national team for that.

Well, apparently another kit is coming out next month for the 2020 CA. It is an away one though. Not sure about the home. The current home is one of the worst ones we’ve had in lonnnng time.

Do you remember those Reebok ones? Those away ones were just bad... It would’ve been fine if it didn’t have that giant AFA on the middle.

    I LOVE that jersey!

It was actually one of the first I bought. Kinda has a rugby look to it. Completely in love with it tbh.

Actually, I may have to dust off my collection one of these days and rock it. Thanks for reminding me of this gorgeous kit

Now if we're going to talk about horrible jerseys, the 2008-09 kits were just horrendous. Probably the worst jerseys we had, IMO

So lazy and uninspired... Looked like some pajamas.

The back where the number went was terrible as well.

Hell... even the numbers were dreadful.

The away kit that year wasn't much better either

A little cleaner and simpler than the home shirt, yes, but it's as if Adidas just got a bunch of leftover training shirts they had in a warehouse and stamped the AFA logo on it. Doesn't get much lazier than this..
