    Havertz for Germany.
1 goal and 2 assists in 6 games playing like 163 min before today, LOL. Only his 2nd XI too.

    Gnabry for Germany
10 goals and 3 assists in 11 games

    This match shows that:
Gnabry is, as always, a great finisher; Brandt also is always good when he plays.
Halstenberg and Klostermann are doing a great job covering many parts of the pitch.
Waldschmidt's position isn't correct, he plays better when more up font and has only to shoot on goal.
Last, but not least, defence is much better without Tah. :D

defense is much better with Tah............and Ginter, lol. Waldschmidt is better as CF and it does show how much Germany is missing Klose, solution always seems to play non strikers up top.

Dybala has been useless this game and subbed out and his replacement aka Volland's teammate scores, lol, 2-1. Argentina goal produced by 2 subs, which shows their XI was not good.

Serdar and Amiri are both playing well on their senior NT debut. Could be useful players.

lol Alario being Argentinian hero. German defense is always scary no matter the game. Was only with Boa/Hummels that it looked excellent.

as usual, how many games has it been where a more efficient Germany uptop would make up for the weak defense? When we could have scored 4 or 5 goals we only score 2 and then concede 2+. Same thing happened in numerous games vs the Dutch.

it really is why Germany needs a world class CF.

2-2 FT, entertaining game that should have been a win for Germany but as usual defensive lapses and we don't win. We made Alario look like Messi.

next up Estonia, get those 3 pts but with a depleted squad, lol.

If we scored 4-5 we would have conceded 4-5. #factsoflife

would say the quest for world class CF and CBs is ON. Those are the current problem positions. Used to be fullbacks but that issue has been solved.

A world class CF would be great but these defensive lapses are getting rediculous. We played a midfielder and new guy in a 3 man defense..

World Class CF but a dream, seriously we need one as quick as possible. Although it's a waiting game at this point.

it's because there was no defense, I mean seriously with the mass injuries, only CBs left were Sule and Koch, lol. There were 0 CBs on the bench. We played Can and Serdar in CB, yeah not very smart and once again why is Low so obsessed with 3 at the back that experiment only worked at the CC but bombed ever since. I recall when we played back 2 vs France we did well but back 3 vs them and we collapsed, simply because 3 at the back limits the whole team. All that defensive obsession and we still concede so what is the point?

and defensively it seems like no matter who we play they always implode at some point of the 90. Clean sheet is a dream scenario vs any decent team, lol. These same cbs who did so much better for club but have constant lapses wearing the German shirt.:cautious:

The CB is a problem because Löw chose not to call Hummels anymore.
Hummels-Sule would be a very good pair of CBs.
The CF is really a problem: players like Waldschimdt, Gnabry, Werner can play there, but they are very different players from Klose.

Anyway the first problem is the 3-4-2-1 formation: it' s useless, especially if there aren't good CBs; it requires a lot of work by the 2 full backs, the CF is too isolated, the 2 half wingers are too far from the goal. A classic 4-3-3 would work much better, would add a reald CM in the midfield and the wingers could do their job more properly.

    Scored 4-5 goals?

    thought Argentina have some
World class strikers like Dyballa and Lautaro (up n coming)

and more chances than we did throughout the game

Wayne? A classic friendly.. the first half dominated by our B-team, the 2nd half dominated by their b-team. It was all in all a fun game to watch.

    Positives: Klostermann, Halstenberg, Gnabry

Negatives: no reaction from the bench when Argentina adapted their tactics.

4 out of Sané, Gnabry, Reus, Werner, Waldschmidt and Havertz going forward will be just great. Can't wait

I'd add Brandt to positives. I also liked Can, considering he has not been playing lately. Negatives I'd add Waldschmidt. It was not a good performance, with the exception of a couple of moments. Felt like we were playing 10 against 11. He is not ready, needs a couple more solid years in the BL. He also needs to beef up.

Germany dominated the first half, Argentina dominated the 2nd half. 2-2 is a fair result. Argentina comes out of the game feeling great, Germany not so much.

Question: Mr. Löw, how is your conclusion after the 2: 2 against Argentina?

Joachim Löw: I thought it was a very dynamic game with a very strong physique, a lot of speed, very entertaining. In the first half we were very, very strong, we played very well forward. After the 1: 2 has left us a bit of courage. But I've learned a lot from the game and have to compliment the team on the courage and heart they played. Those were very, very promising approaches, I really liked that.

Question: is not the disappointment overpowering?

Löw: The result is secondary. Of course you are disappointed that you played only 2: 2, but when I thought a bit, I realized: The first half was really good, that was worth seeing. Some of the first time players did a damn good job. Robin Koch was very stable, self-confident, has shown good charisma and no signs of nervousness. Some have used their chance very well, I'm glad about that and that gives me more opportunities.

Question: How were you satisfied with the other debutants?

Löw: Luca Waldschmidt has done very well, has claimed many balls, made many paths, played a very good game. Nadiem Amiri and Suat Serdar have had few opportunities to excel. They had to work a lot backwards, but have their strengths in the game forward. But you can be satisfied, these are players with very good approaches, because we can already hope for something.

Question: Joshua Kimmich was your captain - why?

Löw: Jo is a role model, in his whole attitude. He has some experience, can also verbally lead a team, is very smart in the organization, gives instructions and is omnipresent. Therefore, it was clear: Jo will be.

Question: Did Marc-André ter Stegen use his chance?

Löw: The goals were not sustainable, otherwise he kept what he had to hold. He played very well in the back and his performance was good.

Question: Did you replace Serge Gnabry after his class play to save him for Estonia?

Löw: Yes. He has gone a crazy pace and has made incredible paths, has appeared everywhere and was constantly fire dangerous, has unsettled the whole defense of the Argentine. That's why it was clear from the beginning that I would take him down because we still need him. There was the risk that too much could happen.

Question: Who of the troubled players will come back to Tallinn on Sunday?

Löw: Timo Werner is better, he should get on Friday again fully. With Ilkay Gündogan there is still a question mark, I do not want to build pressure, muscular injuries are always very difficult. With Niklas Stark you have to wait, he has a history of gastrointestinal disease, but according to the doctor, it can quickly be over. And Marco Reus will be operational on Sunday.

Question: How do you plan for Tallinn?

Löw: Estonia is a completely different opponent. They play more withdrawn and defend their goal in the first place. Because we need an offensive player more on the court. I can imagine Marco Reus. And if Ilkay is fit, he will play too.
