The final score is: 1 - 2 GO SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES!!! -G P.S. = Please don't post results of other soccer (including MLS) games and other sports' games in this thread until at least 24 hours after they've ended.
Wow, nothing going the Quakes way. Rarely heard Vako’s name mentioned in 2nd half. Not the best of nights for Lima either.
I feel sick after watching that. How does every call go against us? The barest phantom of an offside and a goal gets called back. The completely inexplicable overturning of the PK. I kind of get the denial of the DOGSO call early in the first half, and the stomping on Rios' face was probably an accident, but it doesn't feel good to see that guy score a goal later when he could have been sent off.
Had it been say atlanta, either LA team or some big money club, the penalty goes our way and Hoesen a offiside(which was correctly called) dont go against us.
Ciman went after the player and not the ball. Had Andy Rios not been taken out he would have crossed that in. Would it have led to a goal? Probably not, but Ciman took that away from us and gets a goal kick? GTFO
Yeah that offside is stupid. There should have to be more than half a leg for it to be offside. Wouldn't be surprised if they call a foot(players foot) offside on Sunday.
The offsides was fair and I’m okay with that. But has every goal against us been reviewed that meticulously? We’ve had goals scored against us that had borderline fouls/offsides, yet they’re taken for face value goals
So, I stand by my comment after the Atlanta game, the fix is in, Quakes not going to the playoffs. OK maybe Danny was offside, maybe not, and 2) there IS NO WAY THAT RIOS WAS NOT FOULED IN THE PENALTY BOX, NO F***ING WAY that Rios was not fouled in the Box. No foul in Atlanta on Salinas just before the go-ahead goal for Atlanta (Should have been a red on the contact to head long after the play was dead out of bands. Not even debatable according to the rules) . This is not a coincidence. This is crap. League mandated crap. OK Garber explain to those of us who have supported our "crappy little team" in San Jose why we should continue to support this farce of a league. You and our DISCO are jokes.
I told you guys... https://www.bigsoccer.com/threads/sa...5-pregame-thread.2106409/page-2#post-38184708
that one was tough to take especially after it looked like we'd scored so early in the second but just seeing Wondo out there with the Ultras made it worth it.
What floors me is that as bad as the Quakes results have been, their fate is STILL in their own hands. Win two and finish ahead of Portland.
No fix. SJ were -.75 goals. If you don't understand that I've no time to explain. Home match. Loss. End of story. If anyones' idea of fandom is about ref calls and excuses, I don't relate.
It mean's (when in quarter increments) the wager (and so too when applicable to total goals) is split into two bets: SJ -1 , and the other bet is SJ -1/2. If you bet one dollar you then have 50c on both. I don't wager, only have a look (sometimes) at betting market. And I understand the numbers, as one might understand (or be confused by) the three Wall Street indexes on a daily basis. That's all it is.
And alex, I don't understand (in hindsight of course) what lead oddsmakers to make SJ more than 1/2 goal fave. Obviously they missed. You can speculate as well as me. Apart than that I thought Wondo amongst the Ultras was about as cool as it gets.
That was pretty cool! The one game our group misses is of course the best night to be with the ultras
You need to go to dingy bar in Buffalo (and elswhere across America) to book that. Prolly MLS lines not an interest or on offer across our great land.
Just started watching. How did Judson get a yellow card, but the foul a few moments before on Magnus wasn't a yellow card?! And then the stepping on Fierro's face isn't a card at all? I don't care about intent. Did your cleats make contact with the other player's face? That's a card. And we were a bit flat in the early going of the game. Go Quakes!! - Mark
