He did cut it down quite a bit. Sometimes I think he has that nerve condition where the lightest touch on the skin feels like excruciating pain
Listening to a radio crew is just so over the top. Sucks to lose but, that's not really the take away here. Definitely still have the same problems as ever though.
Tite's first error, not starting Dani Alves. Tite's second error, not subbing him in. In all seriousness, I enjoy JovemPan but they are typically very harsh on the NT in general. But it's their thing. And they've been very harsh on Tite after the WC too.
I of course hate losing but it was a good experience overall. On the pain scale, the worst part was the boy not being able to scream goal. He'll be fine. I told him I wish he'd gotten to see a goal. And he shoots back, without missing a beat, "but Papai, I *did* see a goal." Dude is 4.
I only learned about this dish a few years ago. That's the price one pays for immigrating from Brazil while very young. For a long time my memories of Brazilian cuisine were restricted to bacalhau, churrasco, feijoada, arroz e feijão, pizza (com catupiry and such, snacks such as coxinha, empadinha, pastel, etc. Spending time there when older exposed me to many more dishes. Moqueca rocks. I find it hits the spot in colder days.
Saw a few parts of the match. Richarlison tried hard. Not too great to draw Colombia 2-2 and to lose to Peru 0-1, but these are just friendlies and Tite at least tested some players (although he could have done more). That said, with UEFA 2020 qualifying occupying these FIFA dates, we're not going to get anybody who can test us beyond a CONMEBOL side. Even the Asian and African confederations have their priorities as their respective WCQ matches are already underway. I wouldn't be surprised if Brazil's remaining 2019 fixtures (4, if I'm not mistaken) are all relatively lukewarm presentations. With the 2019 Copa América won, the pressure is off of Tite somewhat. But he'll have plenty of pressure come March 2020 when CONMEBOL's WCQ starts. If Brazil doesn't return to winning in October and November, the political capital he won 2 months ago may begin to disappear. I do wonder, on a side note, what the impact of foreign managers like Jorge Jesus will be on how the Brazilian sports commentariat views Tite's work. I do hope Tite continues his lifelong habit of studying soccer and learning from other managers. Brazil can't afford to be "engessado" when WCQ starts especially as other teams in CONMEBOL will be quite competitive.
You read my mind. I wonder if they would actually consider him since he's been one of the most successful foreign hires in recent memory. I think he'd be in consideration if we win the Libertadores. He wouldn't even be my choice even then, but I would think it would cross CBF's mind.
Ah, I did find it odd that you were posting here for a friendly. I have a kid that is 3 and they just appreciate the simpler things. Hopefully they will have more to cheer about when they get older.
Just saw the Brazil vs Colombia u-23 match, did anyone see this game? I must say, Brazil has a great u-23 team and among the best players is Emerson, the right back from Betis. I've been following him for a while and he seems to be developing well. If Brazil make it to the Tokyo Olympics there will be three favorites for the gold medal, in my opinion: Spain, Germany and Brazil.
I think the left backs were also solid candidates for future senior call-ups. Arana and Lodi were called up if I'm not mistaken (and I think that's one reason why Lodi might not have been called for the full team). Would definitely like to see some of those in Tite's upcoming call-ups.
The roster for the October matches vs. Nigeria and Senegal: Goleiros: Ederson (Manchester City-ING), Santos (Athletico Paranaense), Weverton (Palmeiras); Laterais: Dani Alves (São Paulo), Danilo (Juventus-ITA), Alex Sandro (Juventus-ITA), Renan Lodi (Atlético de Madrid); Zagueiros: Éder Militão (Real Madrid-ESP), Marquinhos (PSG-FRA), Rodrigo Caio (Flamengo), Thiago Silva (PSG-FRA); Meio-campistas: Arthur (Barcelona-ESP), Casemiro (Real Madrid-ESP), Fabinho (Liverpool-ING), Lucas Paquetá (Milan-ITA), Matheus Henrique (Grêmio), Philippe Coutinho (Bayern de Munique-ALE); Atacantes: Everton (Grêmio), Neymar (PSG-FRA), Richarlison (Everton-ING), Gabriel Jesus (Manchester City-ING), Roberto Firmino (Liverpool-ING), Gabriel Barbosa (Flamengo)
Biggest Bruno Henrique fan there is but I was puzzled when he was called over gabigol. Then Tite calls gabigol this time. It is hard to understand.
