Maybe if we had some friendlies where they could have been used instead of the usual main guys playing a good chunk of them...

Fito can be used as a sub. Have Bonilla and Bryan Paz start over him. He can come in the 2nd half or if they have trouble attacking just bring him in.

There's still no call up for Punyed? Henry Hernandez gets called up but no Benji Villalobos?

You wanna talk about a guy who’s the least deserving to get called up barely signed with a club last week and first game in he picks up a red...

Benji should be the starting keeper he’s proved his worth on more than one occasionZ

Meanwhile Panama goes and does what we couldn’t and beat Bermuda on the road in convincing fashion (4-1) while we picked up the L during our stay in the Caribbean.

Why is Panama ahead of us in developing players?

Same formation and midfield stacked with neutral or defensive players that don't change the play of the game. It doesn't seem like DLC has any new game plans for the different countries he plays against.

For the starting line up there's still no Punyed, Efrain Burgos Jr, or Villalobos. These players are doing well this season. Punyed could make a difference both offensive and defensively, Efrain would make a difference for the team offensively as the playmaker, and Villalobos clearly is better than Hernandez.

Subs that could most likely make a difference for the last 15-20 minutes and gain some experience are Alexis Cerritos, Joshua Perez, and Enrico Hernandez. Fito needs to worry more about his club situation right now and not the national team. He needs some minutes with his club and either starts scoring or assisting with his club before being called up to the national team.

Burgos plays in a semi-pro league lol. He shouldn’t be in the same sentence as Punyed or Villalobos. I continue to scratch my head regarding Punyed’s omission from the NT, however.

Agreed on Fito and Perez, but Alexis and Enrico are at most reserve players for their respective clubs. I never liked Tomas Granitto’s inclusion to the NT while playing semi-pro, so Alexis and Enrico are both a no to me.

Don't you think Efrain could contribute more to the team than Juan Portillo or Marvin Monterossa? Punyed can easily take Mayen's spot and Villalobos can clearly take Hernandez spot.

I actually did some research on Enrico you're right I thought he was playing for Vitesse senior team but he's only on the U19. He should be called up for the U20 national team.

    Isn't Cerritos with Loudoun United?

Is Eriq Zavaleta and Joaquín Rivas getting any minutes with their clubs?

Or, maybe, just maybe, we use players that we have called up. Like, idk, Coca or Bryan Paz. ‍♂️

So there are rumors that we might face Chile for a November friendly, isn't that going to hurt our chances at the Hex especially if they stomp us?

We are better off facing Guatemala instead.

I think he’s cap-tied to Netherlands U-20’s. Could be wrong though.

The Fed has no idea how to work the system. How could it even be possible they don’t know what is at stake?

This team really isn’t in a place to be in hex so it will likely be Canada bumping us out they are about 5 points away already

We need to make the Hex even if we won’t be competitive, the qualification to just get a chance at that half spot to the WC is pretty brutal.

El Salvador has a losing record in head to head matches vs Guatemala /justsaying.

But this El Salvador team from DLC is horrible and losing to the DR pretty much made it official.
No matter where la selecta ends up I honestly don't seem them being competitive anywhere.

We fired our coach after losing to guys and we have improved so much it's a like a night and day difference.

The Salvadorean federation needs to fire DLC ASAP.

I agree that DLC needs to be let go, but the fed considering a risky friendly that could end the chances of us going to the HEX is plain stupid I’m not trying to insult the Guate NT but they are the safer option compared to Chile.

We need to play more Caribbean teams. I believe both countries tend to struggle against Caribbean opponents.

That was the issue with this format. Now, if we play teams whom we can learn from and try to advance ourselves in some way, we’re hurting our chances for the WC. Which in turn makes us look to ‘easier’ options or options that are the ‘safer’ route.
