The lack of athleticism, technical quality & inability to distribute from Zimmerman, Long, Trapp & Morales is just so sub-standard. Can't win at any level with that lack of quality. By the way, Boyd's first touch is atrocious.
Good counter by CP, amazing dribbles but, typically, doesn't have the vision to see Zardes. Zardes wouldn't have scored or anything... just saying.

I think Zardes' role in this match is to literally be a space-filler. Like, he stays up front and sort of takes up space, and that's meant to occupy the defenders. He's not surging forward in attack or making runs - I think he's literally just there to be a placeholder. Positive thoughts: If that's what Berhalter wanted Zardes to do, then he's doing it admirably!
UNBELIEVABLE amount of ball watching in the final third as Pulisic is doing everything he can to create an attack himself. FIND THE OPEN SPACE!
Not a good debut for Dest. Key word is debut. Pulisic is on one today. Shame there hasn't been a goal or much of a chance really on the end of it. Should have gotten the call on the edge of the box.
I feel like our team is like Will Ferrell's team in Kicking and Screaming but instead of the Italians, its get the ball to Pulisic.
I keep thinking that Brooks would help immensely with his passing out of the back, but apparently, he's just never going to be healthy for the US.
