That too. But watching Ajax in passing so far he rarely has to face ultra talented guys 1v1 due to their possession. Still that was really bad awareness for him not to foul immediately. He should learn from it.
He definitely got owned there. This is why I don't want to get ahead of myself. He is a young up-and-coming player on DEFENSE. It is typically harder to step in on defense than it is on offense and people are already going over the top with him. He is likely to come good, but we have to be realistic about what an 18 year old defender is going to do for the team, immediately.
Pulisic playing like a warrior out there. Is he the only guy that care? Come on boys, put more hearts and bites in it.
Dest has not looked exactly solid in defense with Ajax either. He's an asset going forward, though. But for our NT, a team that mostly defends, I have my serious doubts.
Lol overlapping. We can't get the ball past midfield unless Mexico makes a mistake in pressing, great analysis from the coaching staff there.
"What the US does so well that they need to get back to is overwhelming Mexico with numbers." I ... don't recall this ever happening. But positive thoughts! If it did ever happen, then that's great!
Playing out of the back under pressure is dumb, it's always been dumb. It's dumb when Pep's teams do it too, but they have such a talent advantage that it doesn't matter. All the bad shit happens to you in your own third. Get it the hell outta there.
What do you expect? People complain about Arriola and he’s a decent player. Dest is about the same but way younger. There is no magic trick at LB. People posting on the internet think there is.
