It is Mario Rui. What do you expect?

Mertens is worse. 2 absolute dives in 2 games and NADA!

The expectation is always too much and that is why so many are quick to criticize around here. There is also this false expectation of whom the player should be. We have seen that Bonucci needs a strong marker around him. That is why his partnership with Chiellini has been so good. Even better when Barzagli was part of the mix. I do not see de Ligt as that type of a defender. His strength is not the one on one defending. He is similar to Bonucci. So the two players do not really compliment each other. They will be playing a lot together but I think de Ligt will shine when he is partnered with Rugani or Demiral where either of those two will focus on marking and he can run the defense.

This is exactly right. DeLigt is BonBon;s replacement.

    Demiral is Chiellio's.

he literally didnt even mark Manolas on the goal today and then he stood around and looked around for some one to blame, you could see his brain trying to process that hes going to have to take the blame for it as he thinks "what do i do now"

goals leak whenever he is on the field.

own goal by him vs Inter in garbage icc game.
two goals scored by Spurs after he gets subbed on
3 goals scored today by Napoli in his start
2 goals scored by Atletico in his start in a garbage icc game

this ^^^ the hate on Dybala is real, I just don't get it, perhaps I'm bias because I like him.

Last year Champions League, it was Dybala goals that get Juventus through the "group stage" and advance. Ronaldo score ZERO goal in the CL group stage for us.

Sure, Ronaldo help us by score in round 16 and quarter-finals. But if it weren't for Dybala, we wouldn't advance out of the group stage anyways.

I feel bad for Dylaba, if Juv fans don't appreciate him, then perhaps he should go to another team where those fans team appreciate him more.

Thank You. I was going to write this.
He played 4 games for Juv already. Eventhough today was his first "serie A" game.

Let all hope his next games will be better.

Let see how Inter Milan perform tomrorow, I have a feeling he will conceed more goals than them this season. With Conte as their coach, I bet he know how to work the defense more than Sarri.

He is not ready to start for this team, he is going straight into the fire and if he continues making these mistakes he's going to get crucified in the media and it'll be even worse for him. My way of supporting him is none of your concern, I've been adamant he's not ready to start and we're seeing its a mistake to start him right now, he shouldn't be anywhere near the starting lineup yet.

Rugani should be ahead of him as much as I hate to say it, but he won't be because of de Ligt's price tag. I'd also say Demiral is much more prepared to step in and would be a better partner for Bonucci as @Falc said.

He thinks he's entitled to start judging by his comments that he was "surprised" to be on the bench in our first Serie A game, this performance will bring him back down to reality. He needs to learn the ropes before thinking he's got a starting role in the bag just because Juventus paid a ton of money for him.

You noticed that too? How about our record the last five years when he starts? I'd rather lose Ronaldo than Khedira.

The rest of the league should look at Napoli's last matches and realize you have to drive a stake through their hearts to kill them off. Keep the throttles wide open against thie team

The woes we had defending are quite obvious, but the midfield situation needs to be sorted out ASAP. This type of system relies on midfielders who are comfortable on the ball, comfortable to keep possession and out of the other team's hands. Khedira and Matuidi are not adept to this system of play. The sooner guys like Rabiot and Ramsey become integrated as important players, the better we will be.

We all saw how devastating this team can be in attack. In the first half alone, it could have easily been 4-0. Khedira should have had one of those chances go in. And I can't remember if it was in the first half, but Ronaldo was clearly fouled in the box by Callejon.

If we get the midfield sorted and De Ligt improves (as he should) we'll be fine. I know it's not as exciting as watching 10 men behind the ball against Frosinone like we had last season under Allegri, but this side should be capable of winning and entertaining.

Finally, writing off Higuaín was idiotic...and dismissing a 19-year old De Ligt because of some poor displays is even more idiotic. The club didn't pay massive transfer fees for these two by accident.

It seems everyone rushes to conclusions all the time. One mistake and the player is dismissed as no good. One thing is I'm not sure why the media is so aware of the what's going on at the club. Is it done on purpose or is someone leaking.

Pointing out that MdL was at fault for two goals isn’t dismissing him.

I don't hate Dybala, I'm just pointing out a fact, yesterday, he was ineffective. Higuain played really well yesterday. Ronaldo, not so much, but he did score.

The theme of the season is score more because we will be giving up a good amount of goals since Chiellini will be sidelined for a while.

From yesterday’s performance I don’t feel comfortable having 2 or even 3 score lead because the current defense is not reliable at all.
I’m hoping Demiral will fix some of the issues.

Khedira has a wonderful touch, but no goals to show for it.

He could be better, but he did pull the foul that got us the set play to score the 4th goal

thanks for acknowledging it, no one else does when i go out of the way to provide the details and anecdotal data to make a claim.

im sure de ligt will be fine down the road, but i think he will take 2 years to really get some consistency. The dutch league is weak, he had some good CL moments, but the Spurs game showed he has some real weaknesses... that tape is out there and teams will seek to exploit it.

the real tragedy is that we didnt need him, just like we didnt need Ronaldo. We need game changing midfielders.

Sensi at Inter is looking really promising, tho its only against two weak teams... he actually dominated Serie A last year in a big categorie... i forget what it was tho... maybe challenges won or something... he can hit some blooters on target too.

Inter is going to be scary good this year, Lukaku may outscore Ronaldo.

De Ligt played well all things considered. He made costly mistakes but it was obvious in his body language that he can become a champion. We did the same with Rugani and even Cancelo. Wrote them off at the slightest of errors.

Regardless of the team, I've admired Khedira's game. He seemed far more motivated this season than last but it's a natural when you see your name on the trade block. As the heat moderates and the players become more fit I think he'll be a reliable 75 minute player. Of course 75 minutes with him in still leaves 15+ to worry as juveeer says
