Salzburg. Not bad. We can get a result against Liverpool at home. Ok Inter & Juve gets f*cked. I hope Atalanta get an easy group.
Liverpool-Napoli-Salzburg-Genk Good draw, means at the very least we can avoid Liverpool in the R16 if we go through
Genk to win the group, lol. I'm happy with the group. Atalanta and us to represent Serie A in the next round.
nice one.I'll be at San Paolo against Liverpool.I hate them so much.I hope we play first against liverpool at home.I don't wanna wait for it
I think cuz we're pot 2 we start with Salzburg and end with Salzburg and our 2 middle games should be against Liverpool
Coming first didn't do us any favours last time (Real Madrid in R16). Let's focus on getting the job done and qualifying first, worrying about who we draw later.
Favourites to qualify in 1st and 2nd: A: Real Madrid, PSG B: Bayern, Spurs C: Man City, Shakhtar D: Juventus, Atletico E: Liverpool, Napoli F: Barcelona, Inter G; Lyon, Benfica H: Chelsea, Ajax Coming 1st or 2nd doesn't make a difference for what the groups are. The only group winner that will be extremely favoured over the rest of the group is Man City compared to whoever comes 2nd. There will be upsets there always are, at least 1 of Real Madrid, Bayern, Man City, and Barcelona won't win their group
Prima giornata: Napoli-Liverpool martedì 17 settembre ore 21 Seconda giornata: Genk-Napoli, mercoledì 2 ottobre ore 18.55 Terza giornata: Salisburgo-Napoli, mercoledì 23 ottobre ore 21 Quarta giornata: Napoli-Salisburgo martedì 5 novembre ore 21 Quinta giornata: Liverpool-Napoli, mercoledì 27 novembre ore 21 Sesta giornata: Napoli-Genoa, martedì 10 dicembre ore 18.55. Napoli genoa ? ahahaha ok no problem that's all i wanted.See you soon loserpool
So when you look at it in combination with our Serie A fixtures it is: Sept 15 - Napoli vs Sampdoria Sept 17 - Napoli vs Liverpool Sept 22 - Lecce vs Napoli Sept 29 - Napoli vs Brescia Oct 2 - Genk vs Napoli Oct 6 - Torino vs Napoli Oct 20 - Napoli vs Verona Oct 23 - Salzburg vs Napoli Oct 27 - Spal vs Napoli Nov 3 - Roma vs Napoli Nov 5 - Napoli vs Salzburg Nov 10 - Napoli vs Genoa Nov 24 - Milan vs Napoli Nov 27 - Liverpool vs Napoli Dec 1 - Napoli vs Bologna Dec 8 - Udinese vs Napoli Dec 10 - Napoli vs Genk Dec 15 - Napoli vs Parma No reason at all why we shouldn't win the first 4 games of the group while remaining steady in the Serie A
I think we need to go 4/4 to start the group stage, the best records have the 2nd leg at home so if we get a favourable draw in the R16 we have the potential to be the seeded team in the Quarters but still think we need to take it 1 game at a time starting with Liverpool which is a must win
Napoli: Hysaj in, Tonelli out By Football Italia staff Napoli have selected Elseid Hysaj over Lorenzo Tonelli in their squad for this season’s Champions League group stage. Hysaj and Tonelli both ended up staying at Napoli after the transfer window had closed, but Carlo Ancelotti has sided with the former. The Albanian is one of the Partenopei’s longest-serving players, but he has fallen behind Kevin Malcuit and new arrival Giovanni Di Lorenzo in the pecking order at right-back. Although they signed Kostas Manolas, the Partenopei have only Nikola Maksimovic and the inexperienced Sebastiano Luperto as cover in central defence. Elsewhere, Fernando Llorente is confirmed as the club’s No 9 following his free transfer. Napoli will play Red Bull Salzburg, Racing Genk and European champions Liverpool in Group E. Napoli squad for Champions League: 1. Alex Meret 2. Kevin Malcuit 5. Allan 6. Mario Rui 7. Jose Callejon 8. Fabian Ruiz 9. Fernando Llorente 11. Hirving Lozano 12. Eljif Elmas 13. Sebastiano Luperto 14. Dries Mertens 19. Nikola Maksimovic 20. Piotr Zielinski 22. Giovanni Di Lorenzo 23. Elseid Hysaj 24. Lorenzo Insigne 25. David Ospina 26. Kalidou Koulibaly 27. Orestis Karnezis 31. Faouzi Ghoulam 34. Amin Younes 44. Kostas Manolas 70. Gianluca Gaetano 99. Arkadiusz Milik
Realistically we are a quarter final team unless paired with Man City, Barcelona, Bayern, Real Madrid and maybe Atletico/PSG ... (We can't draw Liverpool in the R16)
We must go for 1st place if the other groups end up like this. I'll take on PSG, Spurs, Shakhtar, Atletico, Benfica or Ajax any day in a 2 leg tie. The only teams that we wouldn't be favourites against would be PSG, Spurs and Atletico. Half the teams we'd be big favourites. If we come 2nd (and groups finish like you say); Real Madrid, Bayern, Man City, Barca, Lyon and Chelsea are our only options and I only like our chances against Lyon or Chelsea.
So we are not a quarter final team because the chance of finishing second is high and we won’t play Juve and Inter so likely we draw these teams. You are not a quarter final team when most of the teams you can play against are stronger and you need to avoid them.
