It's an analogy. If you want a different one, let's say a school principal commits a major crime. Would you assume that all the teachers are criminals? If anything, I would feel sorry for teachers who aren't criminals if a whole school got bad publicity because of the principal. I known I'm not going to convince you, and as I said I wanted the United bid by far, but the Moroccan bid can be called worse without talking about corruption.

Is there any news about the topic? Does CAF need to make any decisions soon? When will CAF decide their WCQ format and schedule?

A long-form read on the mess in the CAF (and Infantino's own responsibility).

But would you make the argument that Concacaf is so corrupt that the USA should not be considered a better choice than any alternate choice?

If the dots can be connected in a similar fashion that a corrupt leader of CONCACAF is going to strong arm his way into reaping the benefits of the World Cup and use it in a corrupt manner then sure.
    But that has not happened.

But that dots are in your head, well your gut I guess.

Dude did pull a Blatter and paid 20 thousands dollars to some Federation presidents, presumably to get elected.

His arrest is for taking bribes from a French company.

That is what happens when you deal with FIFA, shit the whole organization is corrupt as fvck, yet countries fall all over themselves to bid for the world cup rights.

The Morocco FA being close to someone who is crooked was the one making a fool of themselves.

I wonder if beIN Sports USA will still have CAF qualifiers. Even if they have the rights, they might not show Round 1. The Group Stage begins in March 2020.

On a tangential side note, I'm biting my nails wondering if they'll retain the CONMEBOL WCQ, since they've burned all the bridges with Xfinity. Might have to look into Sling TV...

Has CAF cut its own safety net with its financial tightrope walk?

It's all a very messy affair at CAF...

So it sounds like Concacaf has nothing to worry about: the biennial Gold Cup is wildly profitable and infrastructure isn't an issue. A FIFA president actually concerned with fairness would question the US hosting each time, but Infantino's made clear that in his FIFA, profit beats tradition.

I like this... the top clubs will have to join continental league but will have to pay 100m for it. :ROFLMAO: While those clubs can't, for instance, produce proper match highlights video.

    Can't wait to see it.
