Stream quality for Luton-Middlesbrough yesterday and Salford City-Stevenage this morning both great. I have to say though, Stevenage's away kit is just awful.
A couple of years ago, when bein had the rights to the EFL, there was a highlights show that was produced by the same distributors of the games themselves that bein ran every Monday. I think it was called "The Football League Highlights Show" or something like that. Since the rights got moved to ESPN, I haven't seen them. Any idea if something like this is still out there, and where one might find it? I know ESPN+ runs the Serie A shows and the A-League highlights shows, so I'm not sure if it stopped getting produced or it ESPN+ just decided not to show it.
Yeah it hasn't made it's way to ESPN+, unfortunately. I've emailed them to request it. If you can VPN to GB, the EFL highlights show on Quest is totally free and very good. Plus you get all three divisions: https://www.questod.co.uk/show/efl-on-quest
Wait a minute! Didn't we just spend the last 2-3 years arguing about the PL Review Show with you saying that 99% of people don't care about those kind of shows anymore so I should just get over losing it?
Because NBC provides multiple highlight programs for the US audience. ESPN does not produce their own comprehensive EFL highlights program for streaming (only highlights for televised matches). Also NBC has always provided the PLP highlights show as a tertiary option for goals. Thanks for weighing in.
IDK. Sounds more like hypocrisy to me. Like it's different because its a show that relates to the league that YOUR team plays in. Just windin you up!
I watch GoalZone, MOTD or Prem Review just about every week. I like soccer highlights but realize that it's a very small corner of cable tv/streaming. I asked ESPN if they can plop the highlights on + because they already own them and it's just streaming. Not asking them to fill three hours of tv channel space a week
We were discussing bundling of Disney products the other day. Well... https://www.theverge.com/platform/amp/2019/8/6/20757626/disney-plus-espn-hulu-bundle-price-date-streaming-service I can cancel Netflix, sign up for this, get more, and actually save money. I think the individual prices will go up eventually (I would even guess on January 2021), which means ESPN+ would go up, but I think they'll keep that bundle price relatively reasonable just to eliminate some competition.
For those that don’t wish to click on the link, the ESPN+/Disney+/Hulu bundle has been priced at $12.99 per month. Unclear what that means for those in the middle of an annual ESPN+ subscription, or those who desire the Hulu without commercials plan.
ESPN+ subscribers will probably be given opportunity to upgrade if they wish. Hulu premium people will probably be given an offer too. This is Disney, they will be offering everyone something to buy
The link doesn't explicitly say if its Hulu premium or Hulu with ads included in the $13 bundle but I'm guessing its the latter(?). If that's the case, doesn't seem like a great deal. $6 + $4 = $10, so I would still have to pay $3 for Disney. Assuming that's about half-price, mathematically its like 'Buy 5 Get 1 Free'. meh Maybe I'm missing something. In any case, glad I just renewed by annual ESPN+ subscription through next July. There is still room for improvement wrt the user-friendliness of the ESPN+ interface. And even more room for improvement with Hulu's interface. Right now going from Netflix to Hulu feels like going from ESPN+ to BeIN Connect. Hopefully this change will lead to improvements in that area.
Sorry for drifting away from the ESPN soccer aspect a bit more but Disney+ is going to a be BFD for families: https://variety.com/2019/digital/news/disney-plus-lineup-shows-movies-streaming-1203188116/ They've plucked some of their big movies and shows from other streaming services and relocated them to Disney+. I mean with Frozen 2 coming out this Fall, any streaming property with the original movie will be hot.
On monthly, currently Hulu is $6 and ESPN+ is 5. So it's $11 and you'd get Disney Plus for $2 more. It's $5 off the unbundled monthly price for the three. I think they've announced an annual price for disney plus. Hulu doesn't currently offer an annual subscription, but I assume (given that ESPN and disney plus are offered with an annual subscription price) that they'll offer a bundle with an annual subscription option for further savings. I'm on ESPN+ annual and Hulu without ads so I'm looking forward to see how I can get a bundled plan that includes Hulu no ads. I assume they'd give me a prorated refund of my unused ESPN+ annual subscription when I subscribe to the bundled plan.
Probably a safe assumption. They refunded me when I switched from ESPN+ monthy to ESPN+ annual subscription, since I was only half-way through my month when I made that switch.
At $4.99 per month I save by paying for a whole year. At $12.99 I might pay for some months but not others. Not that they can stop you, but paid services don't want you to share accounts. Combining ESPN+, Hulu, and Disney will inevitably lead to Person X using ESPN+ but not Disney and sharing his or her password with Person Y who's a relative in another house using Disney but not ESPN+.
I haven't been able to use my ESPN+ account on multiple devices at the same time. When I do, I usually get asked to log in again, and then it boots me from the previous device I was using. I would imagine this would be similar for Disney+.
I’ve noticed that since they added a 4th eredivisie game (or when they had three and there was a matchup between the big 3), the extra game frequently (always?) features Groningen. Any idea why? No offense to any supporters but their honors are underwhelming. (I know there’s not much to choose from, given that only AZ and Twente have broken the oligopoly in the last 35 years.)
Along with two Eredivesie games and a Chinese game, ESPN+ is airing Swedish and Danish league games this morning. And the German cup competition is on ESPN3, so I guess any cable subs can watch it.
She hosted the Mexico-MLS Cup thing that happened last week. I think she is going to do more MLS stuff. Not sure about Serie A but maybe.
That would suck IMHO. Other than her previous GK skills, I find nothing much redeeming about Solo. Including her personality and her self-centered, defensive comments on BBC during WWC. Edit: nevermind... I missed that you'd switched duscussion to the excellent Kay Murray.
