The mowed-in pattern in Columbus really does look nice. Highlight for the Crew thus far for sure.

I get that we played on Wednesday in the USOC semi...and the we play the Rapids next Wednesday...

But seriously, Adrian. Carter Manley? Lawrence Olum? Collen Martin?

Apparently we ain't got that much depth yet. Oy.

    EDIT: Or perhaps we do.

I saw photos of that a while ago and for whatever reason I didn't think it would look like that for the game. Didn't the league cut down on field patterns years ago and that's the primary reason most are boring now?

van der Werff has to either look at the ball or make some sort of attempt to defend other than just shoving Zardes, however lightly. Weak penalty, but a penalty IMO.

I was just about to say FC Dallas seemed short of ideas in the attacking third.

Fortunately, I didn't click "post reply."

What a goal. I'm not sure if Mosquera was shooting, but what a goal.

I think TFC would be wise to let Greg Vanney go at the end of this season. The team has not played well most of the season. They are currently being outplayed at home by Orlando. Every game it seems they are struggling.

I question his lineups and tactics quite a but also the reality is sometimes a squad stops responding to the manager. He ceases to have the desired effect. It's time to go in a new direction.

Both teams in Frisco are living very dangerously. It feels almost like I'm watching the J-League.

Sometimes I feel like I am the only person on these threads who has never seen a J-League game.

3-2 Dallas. More adventures in goalkeeping.

Minnesota has been terrible at tracking underlapping fullbacks all game.

I just realized a little while ago that I had a post about Boyds and Leesburg disappear into the ether.

    First thing first... ******** Maryland. ******** 270. ******** Boyds/Germantown. ******** MagicDan (I know he's dead).

EagleBank Field exists. I don't think Segre or the Soccerplex are ideal locations for a top tier women's team that is representing DC and the greater Washington market. Segre seats about 5,000. The Soccerplex officially seats about 4,000 now, but they can easily be close to 6,000 with SRO (they now allow people on some of the hill where the flags are). Of course it's easy to expand capacity there too. I think the capacity back in the day was up to 10,000 after they added stands on top of the concrete pads behind the stands built into the hill closest to the parking lots. Both stadiums are a pain to get to. I can imagine Leesburg can be cheaper for opposing teams to travel to due to proximity to IAD and cheap hotels. FWIW, Montgomery County, Maryland is a county of over 1 million and the median income is over $100k.

My greatest concern is I doubt Loudoun will be a better training facility than the St James just as the auxiliary fields of RFK are no longer even the best playing fields in RFK's Lot 7.

I laugh that people don't notice a new multi-purpose/football stadium and basketball/hockey arena in that video.
