I'm shocked that La Liga put money first over distribution. Who cares if no one watches your league if a network is just throwing money at you. Well maybe they put their relationship with Qatar over distribution -- but that boils down to money over distribution in the end.

Another interesting note, heard on The Totally (European) Football Show this week: La Liga has not signed a deal to be shown on UK TV or streaming. Season begins in 30 hours... Even MLS can manage a deal with Sky to be shown there. Probably for next to nothing, but at least they're on the air.
I still think it's the right move for La Liga to stay on bein even if the distribution numbers aren't what they'd like them to be. The league, as a whole, is covered very well on bein, especially on the Spanish channel.
