Yeah, yeah, blame CONCACAF. We're going to need pbp of the semifinal and final from you, so set your alarm clock.

Edit: Even @Stupid_American could figure it out, yet you couldn't. :p

I'm technologically challenged. When I learned how to copy and paste I thought it was a big deal.
As I type Canada is leading Mexico 1-0. Panama beat ES 5-0, but the big score is Portugal 7 Haiti 0.

Supposedly there are no brackets. Concacaf is to decide who is playing whom. They might match USA with Canada and put Portugal in another semifinal.

Just like a guest club (Mexico, e.g.) can win Copa America. The Gold Cup has had guest teams in the past.

In this case I feel it would be very impolite.

Looks like it'll be the US and Portugal in one semifinal. With Canada and Slovenia in the other.

Did anyone watch the match today? I’m curious what the takes are. Cisneros and Valdez both have some Busio to their game. Surprising ability to make goals happen, some creativity, 0 passing ability. Started with Rotundo on the right wing and CR controlled play early and we couldn't get the ball past midfield. Rotundo started dropping back and playing both the 8 and wing and we took control of the game.

It’s getting to be the time of the tournament when players have a little more chemistry but fatigue is also a factor. If we play Portugal and Portugal is 7 goals better than Haiti, I don’t think we win.

I just finished watching the game. We played badly and we didn't deserve to win. Costa Rica dominated almost the entire game and we won by good counterattacks.
As positive aspects, I liked the game of Alguera, Rotundo, Pukstas and Cisneros. The rest of the players did not look good. The defense looked bad.
We really won because Costa Rica had no luck.

Slovenia! So there's a prospect of an all-Euro final? This thread is like death by a thousand cuts.

Pretty much. Except that CBs were OK. FBs were poor and CMs looked like they never played together, what's of course the truth. Costa Rica had a few players that looked better than Rotundo. Although Rotundo tried to combine with other kids who seemingly had no clue what he was doing, so it's hard to judge him.

I think Valdez can play, Cisneros can't. Valdez isn't incredibly talented, but I think he doesn't have any real weaknesses. He can dribble, pass, good soccer IQ, combination play, and end product. Athletically he's limited and he's not incredibly creative, but I think he could be a better version of Gilbert Fuentes.

Cisneros has a good soccer IQ, but I think he has a real lack of talent. I don't think he's good enough for this roster. You are right that Busio is an enigma, but I don't think he's comparable to these two.

US 0 Portugal 0 HT. Game on Univision Deportes. Portugal the superior team, but we're trying to battle. We've had a couple of corners, but not much else. Portugal is dominating possession and looks far more dangerous. I can point to several Portugal players and picture them playing at a very high level in a few years.

Portugal 1 US 0 in 58th minute. Header scored off FK. It will be tough for U.S. to come back.

2-0 65th minute. We pushed everyone up, they counterattacked, boom.

3-0 FT. A very deserved win for Portugal. In every way possible they were better. Individually, they were better technically, tactically, athletically. Maybe it's a nutrition thing, but virtually all their players were leaner.
