Some lucky fellow may even goal the ball. Yep, that's it. Nothing to see here. Yay Crew... OH WAIT ***HELL IS REAL KLAXON*** Time to welcome the fussbois to the league COLUMBUS-STYLE!! ...which is to say... with a DRAW! BUT MAYBE A WIN! They're bad. We're bad. It's gonna be a ********ing dumpster fire!! Get on it girls and boys! IT'LL BE A BAD TIME FOR ALL. Discuss.
Win by 2++++ mutha********as!!! By the way, I don't want to see any Cincy-brewed Rhinegeist at the tailgate, dammit!
I see people are joining the 2-0 group. @Minnman, I will be bringing a bunch of NE Ohio beer - Masthead, Great Lakes, Fat Head, Royal Docks, etc. Maybe some Thirsty Dog. I would love to drink the Coach Porter beer. Anyone had any?
Tim and I were just talking about Masthead. He really likes the coffee stout and two IPAs he has had. I just restock the Masthead supply when it gets low. Oh and @Grouchy, Sibling Revelry was such a great recommendation. Tim works at Tri-C on the same road about a mile away. Thanks again.
Odds are good that I might - just might, mind you - over-indulge a bit on Saturday. This date's been circled on my calendar for a long time. And it's been a while since I've allowed myself to get truly optimistic about a Crew victory. Anyway, I picked up a 6-pack of that Sibling Revelry Belgian tripel, and it's pretty damned good. Seems an obvious, oddly symbolic choice for this weekend. 9.2abv, argues in favor of something else. Maybe I'll wise up and put together a mixed six that includes a Hefeweizen, or something more responsible. Or maybe not.
Me logging in to post in the hell is real game thread at noon vs my reaction when @chr1st hadn't posted it yet. But in all seriousness, glad you are ok dude.
How about if it is consumed in a "I drink your milkshake" kind of way? Need 3 points to keep hope alive. TFC had midweek Canadian Cup matches this week and next, so hopefully they will be good and tired when we stomp them next week.
I am not a big fan of the Belgian-style beer. The malt profile is just not to my liking. I am however, a huge pale ale fan. I saw the 'Swing State' from Sibling and gave it a go. Good stuff.
Bring to the tailgate. Please and thank you. What is being a Jackson mom have anything to do with Royal Docks? I am unaware of the connection between tasty Canton beer and stay-at-home, gym-going moms with six-figure husbands being unfaithful with younger women at work. Please elucidate the connection.
First, Royal Docks is not tasty. Second, I am assuming you have never been there. Why do you assume only the husbands are unfaithful?
I like the idea Porter, but I'm not sure that's how it works. I hope it's Zardes or Dias that they're cursing. Also ticket sales look about spent right now. All I'm seeing is some obstructed view seats (probably the last to open up) and a couple of scattered singles on the west side.
Where is there an obstructed view? I’ve sat in damn near every corner of our stadium and the only time my view has been obstructed is when some idiot pulls out an umbrella.
My guess is near the camera mounts in the upper deck. Of course, first couple of rows behind the bench are also a bit obstructed these days.
The lowest couple of rows in the lower deck immediately behind the opposing team's bench. The seats I got moved to for the Open Cup when they didn't want anyone sitting in the upper deck. The ushers were kind enough to look the other way when we moved as soon as they stopped singing the Star Spangled Banner so we could, you know, see the soccer game.
