Bummed out on the goalkeeper kits this year being not available in short-sleeved form, at least Puma put out short-sleeved kits as well as long-sleeved, when it came to picking out four Puma AFC kits for the final collection, when it came to the GK kits, I chose last season's green GK kit as my favorite of those. As for the home kit, it looks very nice, I like the collar on it, how long is our deal with adidas??? I wanted to know so I can pick out 4 kits after the deal eith them runs out, this season's home one is definitely gonna be one of them
The lure of walking into the Armoury and picking this up on release day was too strong. I hate myself.
I would be surprised if its not released as a short sleeve because previous Adidas keeper kits have been. Remember this is just initial launch, haven't even launched the away or third yet.
I know how everyone here wants to hate on Puma for their kits the past 5 seasons, but, it COULD'VE been worse, we could've been with KAPPA instead. As a Gooner who also is a Wolfsburg supporter we should know all too well how shit Kappa kits are, Der Grun-Weiss VfL had a 5-year deal with them (2014-2018) and bailed out after the second season (2015-16) and have been happy to be with Nike since. Plus, Kappa replicas fit a size smaller than marked, I ordered the 2014-15 kits (in size XL) because I dug the graphic design on them, this after having built up a massive collection of Wolfsburg shirts starting with the 2010-11 through 2013-14 seasons made by Adidas, and noticed how shitty the Kappa strips were built. Just about every club who dealt with Kappa bailed out shortly afterwards, AS Roma, is yet another infamous tale about that.
I was stunned when I saw this photo on Arsenal.com while reading about the pre-season match vs. the Rapids. Seriously, are our numbers YELLOW this season!?!? Because that is FUGLY: I seriously cannot get over how hard that is to look at. Arsenal on the front, McDonalds on the back.
If that's the case, then I really hope Arsenal wears their away kit on Saturday, because I don't want to look at that horrible sh*t . . .
It was just in anticipation for the away kit launch, if you look closely it's the same pattern that is on the Yellow Kit. Been rumored for a while that the Yellow kits will be worn in Charlotte on Saturday. (I live in NC so there has been a lot of stores getting shipments of "unmarked" Arsenal gear around here)
Yup, I hated it too. As I implied in the tour thread? Maybe yellow was chosen as a sort of homage to our American owners. ;Timid, scared, ineffective, greedy... #wecaredoyou
That’s the font we’ll use in Europe, but it’ll be white on the home and blue on the away. That might be the third kit printing?
Just watching our first match in away kits, and from the wide-angle view I'm sorry to say that we do in fact look like Watford. But when there's a close-up shot you can see that the shorts are actually a very dark blue... they just appear to be black from a distance. I guess these kits are better than last year's light green, but they still don't say Arsenal to me.
The should’ve made the “bruised banana” look more pronounced like the retro kits. I was at the match yesterday and you could barely see the bruised part on the kits.
Pragmatcally, it's probably harder to see the kit sponsor if the "bruising" is darker. I'm also a sucker for more subtle design touches (like "Victoria Concordia Crescit" embossed inside a kit's collar when Nike still made our kits, or the navy blue touches on the new Adidias home kit), so being less pronounced and more visible when seen up close has grown on me.
Agreed, I'll take SUBWAY any time where I can make it MY WAY rather than have to put up with 1200+ calories of grease and crap thank you!!! Mickey D's is a heart attack waiting to happen (I'm 53 year old as I am posting and can ill afford to get one) and if I ever go out for a quick bite, it's SUBWAY OR NO WAY, If I want to have a burger I have a George Foreman GRP-99 Grill that will do away with all that inherent grease and crap. 5 brats and 6 eggs every once in a while for a matchday breakfast while watching The Gunners secure 3 points in the bag at 4:00 am (if it's the North London Derby it's "Spur Strips", a.k.a. Tyson Crispy Chicken Strips for the matchday snack instead) if we are playing the early match on NBCSN (otherwise I sleep in until we do play) but not regularly McDonalds wants us to supersize our fries, and even though they are good, I'll still take a toasted foot-long at Subway instead. MY sandwich, MY WAY!!!
True, but I only make them occasionally, and usually only when we play the 4:00 am PST match, not every day like some folks go to Mickey D's, some folks go every day during their lunch break for goodness sake. Dumb, dumb, dumb.
Australias subway isn't much healthier for you. You can't have any of the breads, most of the meats, the best option is the wrap with salads and tuna.
