lol did someone seriously just advovate not stopping for lightning? Come on I'm a cynical ******** and sometimes they are too cautious but uh no. People can die man.
you can play it up to a point but not in downpour or if the field is water logged. it's not the same sport and guys get hurt. similar to soccer imo.
Nashville is in Central time not eastern. My guess is that they wanted to avoid as much heat as possible and they wanted to give plaenty of time for the locals to get to the match. An 8:30 PM start is a bit late but not unreasonable. I am also sure that TV entered into the choice as well. The left coast is also part of the US.
Well sheeeeeit. I'm never going to make it. Imma rewire the DVR to stop recording 3hr after scheduled stop time and then get up early to watch.
I'm actually off at 4, because I work remotely for an East Coast based company. I'm just saying, most viewers around here are sitting in traffic before 6:30. TV networks know.
Someone else who has impressed me as analyst lately is Charlie Davies... Initially, he was a little nervous and timid. But, he offers straightforward analysis that seems like a rarity in US soccer.
I thought that bit was hilarious. She talked about the "wonder boy" and the other 3 were like "that's what you call him", and she's like "uhhh (twirls hair)", and Mo and Landon look at her like "yeah, we all know you've got the hots for him".
That group is fun to watch, although I get the impression she has to pump the brakes and wait for them to catch up every once in a while.
