By 2-3 inches maybe. Not enough to gain a competitive advantage. The old "even is on" should replace the nitpicky way the law is currently being interpreted. That's my opinion anyway. It's hard to score a goal in soccer. We should be encouraging offensive play with the laws.

This ref ignores an obvious foul then England goes the other way and nearly scores. Then the ref ignores another English player running into the keeper needlessly. Here comes a PK that doesn’t happen if the foul is called on the other end.
