It doesn't matter that we are the third largest TV market, if our games aren't on TV.

I think you forgot that the 2 largest are split between 2 teams... wait... that makes things worse...

Djordje Mihailovic (4.5) — The Chicago youngster had stray moments to laud, such as when his high pressure steal keyed an early threatening rush. Unfortunately, much of his night was filled with poor decisions and touches on the ball, including one that coughed a big shooting chance at the top of the US box. To boot, his free kicks were quite poor up until the one that Miazga played back into the goalmouth for Altidore's goal.

this is to help tyrusrose out.

if you don't want to get shit, instead of responding like this:

all you had to say was something like "I can't really reveal my sources, but they've been accurate in the past (include a couple of yr reddit links) so I believe them on this.

it should be noted however, that:

    1. there's still not an ounce of evidence that Mansueto is any better than Hauptman, outside of actually having money, and your original response was dismissive and not remotely on point.

    2. anonymous sources, even those that have been truthful in the past, are not guaranteed to remain so - providing accurate inconsequential info is the classic way to develop a leaking asset, even in the real press, let alone social media fan groups

    shorter LTT:

tout yr inside info all you want, just don't be a douche about it.

Don't have the link but read earlier today from Tenorio about the possibility of trading Katai. Oh boy would that be bad

Yes, it would be bad. However, it is something that we have come to expect from the FO.

    Well we do need TAM/GAM.

I thought we wanted to have a strong/good team going into the move to Soldier Field. It wouldn't surprise me if NRod guts the team, before he's let go.

From Paul Tenorio's article in The Athletic (yeah I finally decided to pay for actual soccer articles!!! I haven't used too much but it's nice to be able to read them):

    https://theathletic.com/1059976/201...-plata-lafcs-dp-search-and-more/?redirected=1

"Fire is a potential seller in summer market

Chicago continues to drop down the Eastern Conference standings, and if the season slips away, multiple league sources said they expect the Fire to try to make significant changes to the roster. No player on the roster is safe from being traded or sold, the sources indicated. The problem is there aren’t that many attractive trade pieces.

The best option is probably Przemyslaw Frankowski, who is 24 and has the work rate and ability to help any team. A TAM player under contract through 2022, it’s hard to imagine he’d come cheap. Former MLS golden boot winner Nemanja Nikolic and winger Aleksandar Katai are both on expiring contracts—Chicago has an option on Katai—and sources indicate the Fire are preparing to replace both in the offseason. Nikolic’s form and salary make him an unnecessary risk for potential trade suitors, though. He’s not worth the salary or the assets, considering his production over the past two seasons, he only offers in-the-box finishing and he is out of contract at the end of the season. Katai could be tempting trade bait considering his expiring deal, as he would essentially be a six-month rental as a game-changing player in MLS."

WTF he only offers in the box finishing? Where do most goals come from?

Not to mention that season, Nikolic had the fourth highest goal total for a Fire player ever.

well, if he only scores from inside the box, he'll never hit the three point shots. that's how steph curry is so good, right?

Sure, when he goes to play for the Milwaukee Wave in the Major Arena Soccer League, it will matter quite a bit.

By the way, the Wave have games on Chicago tv, unlike the Fire. I have watched a couple of games on Channel 50 or Comcast or something.

I'm more concerned with the Frankowski statement. I expected this team to have seriously high turnover after the season. But he is the one asset I expect them to keep...and build around.
