Ok, what's our record in 2019 when he plays? Or what was it in 2017? This shouldn't be too hard to find.
Much like the Omar debate, it really didn't help that Guzan was stinking things up himself, and there was a whole lot of "meh" behind him. I suppose the ultimate hindsight move might have been Rimando, but I can only imagine the response on here if he'd blundered.
Bradley played in almost all of the most critical games. His record should be pretty representative of his value.
I don't buy this and never do when people make similar claims about effort despite results. You'd complain if we lost. Just like you complain when we win.
I see your problem. You aren't good at comprehension. I've made the argument that Bradley should be called in because he's still one of our most important players and we play better when he's on the field. I never said that Matt Doyle agrees with me to support anything I've said. You're grasping here as usual.
Yeah, I mean just look at TOAzer's stuff. The guy is hysterical and seems to have an issue understanding what he sees.
They didn't underwhelm throughout. Only in the beginning and the end. When Bruce first came in, they went unbeaten in the middle 4 matches (getting 8 points). Then they won the Panama game before Trinidad, 4-0. So basically we're talking about 3 games. Mexico at home, Costa Rica at home and Trinidad on the road.
Good point. There's never been a roster selection that wasn't slaughtered by fans. And there's never been a USMNT coach who hasn't been destroyed as a loser or clown by the hipsters.
This is a lie. Try accurately quoting me sometime. I said that but for a couple of inches we would've qualified. Which is just true. There are always things that can be improved or changed but that doesn't mean that we have to whine incessantly because of an own goal in Cuova.
A six team group: US, Mexico, Panama, Honduras, TnT, and Costa Rica. Home and away. Of those 6 teams, we finished in the bottom half. By any measure, that is a poor result that occurred over 10 games. Im not sure why a US fan would defend the hex result. Perhaps its just an anomoly, but it is certainly a terrible result.
Having only 1 win on the road (St Kitts) in the WCQ another huge reason why they got eliminated. The USMNT needs to play more often on the road. The Gold Cup always being in the US might be doing them a disservice. Same scenario in the previous qualifiers, wins at Panama and Antigua only
Frei, Melia, Robles, Hamid, whoever. Yes, Guzan was out of form and Howard was done. We didn't have great keepers in 2017 (neither we have now) but plenty of good ones, but we needed just a competent in form keeper not a savior.
But, and this is very important, that's not what you said. You said they underwhelmed throughout. They did not.
Perfectly said. I think pulisic should still be looked at as an option, ream and zardes as options as backups/camp fodder. Otherwise, get rid of them all, including the leadership.
Again, and this is important, I didn't defend the hex result. I directly refuted a claim that you made. Then you responded to me by claiming something completely different.
